Due for worldwide release on Friday, November 25, Looking In The Sky marks the first single on the label to feature all five constituent members of the Scenarios collective – Emanuel Satie, Maga, Tim Engelhardt, Sean Doron and Yulia Niko – who team up with Berlin-based vocalist Paul Brenning for one of the biggest records on the label to date.

Ebbing and flowing with hypnotic purpose, the spellbinding vocal cut delivers everything we’ve come to expect and more from the prolific collective, who continue to showcase their innate knack for creating deep, emotive and intelligent electronic music of the very highest calibre. A sophisticated and emotionally charged offering, characterised by dynamic synth structures, Brenning’s lingering vocals and a heady concoction of pulsating four-four beats, Scenarios’ trademark composite of deep, melodic, club music shines front and centre, as the six artists pull out all the stops with a rousing dancefloor weapon.

Paul Brenning is a German producer and singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Tooker makes his Human By Default debut with ‘Divided We Fall’ featuring Aquarius Heaven.

Christopher Tooker's first Human By Default release lands on January 12th and sees him continue a run of releases for the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan's Ouïe and Compost. Having cut his teeth in bands before moving into electronic music as a core member of KMLN, Tooker's style is hypnotic and deeply immersive. 

'Divided We Fall', a track that sees Tooker joined by Wolf & Lamb, Circus Company and No.19 alumnus Aquarius Heaven delivering compelling vocals, is a pulsating epic. While strings overlap and the vocals ebb and flow, an ever-present bass stab compliments loose, organic percussion, making for a persistent, engaging groove. On the (virtual) flip, Tooker invites his live act, Wazoo, on board for 'Sonar ft Wazoo', a blissed out, heady cut with yet more sumptuous, rounded percussive touches underpinning a cavalcade of dreamy synths.

In 2022, the rights to my first album, A Box Full of Darkness, returned to me, and I decided it was a great idea to make it available to you through Bandcamp!

Today, I bring you Cult of the Internal Sun, one of my favorite tracks from the album. I was trying to create something more lush compared to the other tracks, and I really dig the results. But I have to admit—it irks me to know it could have been a much better recording. The label didn’t let me choose the mastering engineer, and it didn’t quite align with my vision.
