UK garage legend DJ Q continues his current series of anthems with ‘I Can’t Stay’, teaming up with fellow UK icon Shola Ama and rising producer Hans Glader.

Forced to slow down and take stock last year when the pandemic hit, Q retreated to the studio and has returned with some of his most critically and commercially successful music to date, including previous Local Action singles 'All That I Could' and 'Thief in the Night', and a series of remixes from Octo Octa, Lavonz, Al Wootton and salute.

Available everywhere now, ‘I Can’t Stay’ sees Q continue to stake his claim as UK garage’s MVP, showing his soulful side while building anticipation to his next album, coming on Local Action in the next year.

not even quite sure where to start with this one. the first phase brings through some old school breaks vibes with that hypnotic repetitive tone rolling into the build up. the drop kicks off the more garage-styled section of the track, with the mesmeric looping on that funky vocal keeping things fresh and vibey. @lawlessmusic came onto our radar in the last couple months and i’m sure others who’ve been in touch with him will agree that it’s crazy how much material he’s got. all kinds of genres and moods, and he’s only just getting started. you’ll be seeing a lot more of him in the scene and on algo:riddims in the near future so don’t sleep -  drop him a follow now so you can say you got there first 🔥
