A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its seventeenth instalment, this time curated by Above & Beyond’s Tony McGuinness. Regularly livestreaming extended deep sets on Twitch, Tony continually demonstrates his affinity for groove-laden tracks, and his capabilities as a selector of deep house are on show on this new four-track EP.

Kicking off the compilation, Fingerprint, a new project from Tony McGuinness, and rising Anjuna star Spencer Brown collaborate on ‘Santorini’. Leading with cascading synths and bouncing drums the dynamic duo demonstrate their renowned production techniques. 

Next up, Argentinian based DJ and producer Sebastian Sellares marks his Anjunadeep debut with ‘Garden of Eden’, featuring a bold bass and ambient melodies. Third track ‘Petrichor’, from Brazil’s RIGOONI presents a marked contrast in tone, and shows off the delicate production style that’s earned him releases on Balanced Music, The Soundgarden and Higher States.

Closing the EP is collaborative cut ‘Central Park’ from Sevastopol native Mango and Qatar’s A.M.R. Leading with emotive piano chords, the duo showcase their intricate sound design that has seen them both release on notable labels including Monstercat Silk.

Fresh off the back of his recent mini-LP ‘Static’, which garnered a host of international support from the likes of KALBLUT, Clash, The Line of Best Fit and Indie Shuffle, Bård Ericson a.k.a boerd lands back on the label with his brand new ‘Static’ remix EP, featuring a high calibre trio of reimagined album cuts, out June 12th.

Lead vocal single ‘Blind’ receives two colourful remixes, the first of which is from genre-defying London duo and rising stars on Mura Masa’s Anchor Point imprint, Jadu Heart. By combining a bop-inducing bassline with boerd’s brooding vocals, Jadu Heart skilfully coat the original in a Noughties indie rock sheen, complete with understated drums and melodic guitar riffs.

Replicating the hazy beauty of the original, Croquet Club’s take on ‘Void’ sees the Parisian producer inject his nuanced percussion and trademark plucky bass alongside Ellen Arkbro’s angelic vocals to create a lush, synthetic soundscape.

The second remix of ‘Blind’ comes from Belgium native Maxime Firket a.k.a Compuphonic. Invoking boerd’s blissful atmospheres and subtle key progressions, Firket’s four-to-the-floor mix is a deep yet meditative reinterpretation.

Handpicked by curators James Grant & Jody Wisternoff, the Anjunadeep 12 Samplers collectively host 9 highlights from the compilation. Part 2 features a new remix from the guys as well as tracks from Tagavaka, Luigi Sambuy and Arswain.

First up, Jody & James put their stamp on ‘Kilkee’, an ambient track written by British duo Solomon Grey. Following his first standalone release ‘Paper EP’, Luigi Sambuy collaborates with Arswain on ‘Partitioning II’, a succession from Arswain’s track ‘Partitioning’ released in 2020. Utilising Arswain’s vocals and a fast-paced bass, the duo demonstrate their production flair. Closing the sampler is Anjunadeep debutant Tagavaka with ‘State Lines’, a track characterised by rising arpeggios and swelling chords.
