Premiere: Tyke - Don't Flex [Hottrax]

Hush proudly presents its first release, a standout two-track EP from internationally renowned producer Max Chapman. Known for his ability to craft dancefloor-ready hits, Max sets the perfect tone for the labels debut with a blend of funk-inspired grooves and contemporary tech house.  The A-side, Right About Now, is a groove-driven track laced with funky basslines and uplifting rhythms. With its catchy hooks and playful energy, this tune is built to capture the spirit of a night out at Hush.  On the B-side, You Know shifts gears into a more rolling tech house groove, balancing deep, rolling basslines with crisp percussion and subtle vocal touches.  As the first release on Hushs new label, this EP sets the stage for an exciting journey ahead.

North West London duo Late Replies will join Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with their four-track EP of delicious House grooves across ‘Ratataa’ dropping on 4th April. To kick off Late Replies’ 2025 schedule, ‘Ratataa’ opens with loose percussion and Deep House pads that glide over a low-swinging, underground pulse. Next, ‘Do It Like That’ shifts gears, locking into a driving, sonic rhythm with a rolling bassline that keeps the energy flowing. 

‘Show Love’ shines with funky bass and airy soundscapes, wrapping the track in a warm, feel-good glow, while ‘Took My Love’ closes their ‘Ratataa’ EP with crisp sound textures, sparkling keys and Christy McAllister’s lush vocals, rounding off the release with Late Replies’ flawless production style.

Hottrax continues to spotlight tomorrow’s talent with the arrival of Manchester-based duo MINDLESS., who make their label debut with the bold and club-focused ‘Turn It Up’ EP. Formed by Harry Carvell and Kieran Dearden, MINDLESS. is a new name emerging from the UK’s house landscape. Having only launched the project earlier this year, the pair have quickly found traction, catching the attention of tastemakers and DJs alike. Now, just months after their first release, they step onto Jamie Jones’ influential imprint, joining a catalogue renowned for championing fresh artists and future sounds. 

“Honestly, we can’t believe that in the space of six months we have gone from making our first track together for fun after work, to getting a Hottrax EP - a label that was only considered a dream to release on back in February. We thought it might be a joke because we really didn't expect this so soon! It is an honour to release on the same label as household names within the scene who inspired us to begin this journey originally. Jamie, being a key driver to our love for music, makes this release so special to us. Anyone who knows us, recognises the importance of Jamie's event Paradise as a huge inspiration to steer our passion for music. The title track ‘Turn It Up’ kicks things off with crisp drums, snaking bass, and a tight, looping groove that keeps momentum at its core. Meanwhile, ‘Taste It’ turns the energy up a notch, blending darker textures with subtle low-end pressure. It’s a confident label debut, signalling an exciting start for the Manchester pair as they join a growing wave of new artists pushing things forward.
