We are back from the underground to bring you our thirteenth release! This time the Sicilian artists Daniele Dovico and Katal join forces to deliver us two original filthy tracks. “The acid drum” shows the love of the duo for the acid side of house music, without forgetting to complete this masterpiece with perfect suitable fat drumming. “Call the drumma” as it´s own name says, aims to the feet of every raver, a perfect track to smash the clubs. Not only that, the remixing task comes this time from Tripmastaz, who has gained the respect of the underground scene over the past decade. Now it´s your time to dance and show your love to Roush!

Daniele Dovico & Katal - The Acid Drum

Exploited Club warmly welcomes back Mexican talent Levantine who follows up his previous Acid Infatuation EP on Exploited Club with another dose of his trademark sound: a deft interweaving of Eurodance and Italo - this time with the addition of a some sultry Spanish vocals.  

The backbone of 'Adicción De Amor' is a kit of rich, full spectrum drums that land with seismic force. They form a stout foundation for the track while a climbing, dynamo synth riff loops through over the top and a delicate spoken vocal floats with a contrastingly subtlety touch.

A fervid tension continues to course as high frequency FX and drum fills are expressively scattered and splashed before an Italo remix provides another side to the coin.

Slightly slowed and stripped back, the energy marches toward a spacious breakdown that creates a void for the vocals before the burly drums bite back with full force and an LFO sends the synth line flickering like a strobe throughout the conclusion of a classy record that melds retrograde synthesis with sharp, punchy sonics.

Not many people follow a pipeline from wacky food reviewers to DJs, or have played a set in a cloud, or repeatedly invited the *checks notes* Church of Scientology to an afters. These are just some of the former lives lived by @xandivy, the Australian-American duo who started producing and DJing together in 2016 after meeting through a mutual friend in Los Angeles.

While a former iteration of their partnership under the alias Party Shirt saw the duo gain attention to the tune of tens of millions of social media followers for viral shenanigans, since forming X & Ivy, the collaborators have made it clear they want be taken seriously as producers and DJs. Lately, their dream has been coming to fruition.

For their instalment of the mix, the duo share a perfect soundtrack to the closing moments of summer.

“After the incredible London summer we've had, we wanted this mix to capture a feeling. Something nostalgic and euphoric to close out the season properly. It features tracks from some of our favourite artists and friends, plus a few recent releases, unreleased bits, and timeless records that never leave our bag. Incredible levels of energy and emotion from live act Le Boom, bringing their trance stylings of the Irish language to The Mixmag Lab at Ireland's All Together Now Festival.

The Mixmag x Radio Alhara stage at All Together Now was set alongside The Great Oven's Disco Cantina, a charity that puts giant ovens in conflict zones and places of need to feed and develop community.
