Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. This is our full inbox from the week beginning Mon 15th November: from Friday afternoon you'll be able to hear our shortlist and pick your favourites on this week's Listening Post which will appear at freshonthenet.co.uk/batch426

If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Christmas songs and the like are also not eligible for the Listening Post, although we will collect these into a playlist that will be published on 24 December.

Our long-time friend, Lithuanian-based producer, Deep Shoq returns to SVNSET WAVES with a new six-track EP following 2020's release, Hypnosis. This release showcases the mellow, atmospheric, organic house-influenced side of Deep Shoq, as well as some shades of future garage. This time, we also hear Deep Shoq experiment with vocals for the first time. As always, Deep Shoq perfectly walks the narrow line of dance music and music to sit back and daydream to.

AONIAN brings his new single 'Ascent', fusing melodic, trippy electronica with Mediterranean soundscapes.

The first glimpse to Aonian's world as the first single of his upcoming debut album, it showcases a blend of contemporary electronic synths and swirling melodies, colliding with dreamy traditional and ethnic soundscapes.

With references to traditional and folk elements from his home country, the Greek born and London based producer successfully pays homage to our past and present whilst remaining loyal to an ever-changing cultural identity.

"Ascent was inspired by conversations I had with friend, storyteller, and ethnomusicologist Anastasis Sarakatsanos (@nomadmusicamsterdam) back in the summer of 2017, conversations surrounding history, migration, and cultural identity, and how that part of history (and present) kept fuelling folklore stories and traditional music, as well as modern art in the Balkans, and the Mediterranean cultures. His performance on the Qanun instrument is featured throughout the track and made me overcome my initial doubts in including soundscapes from my motherland in my productions.

Having already established a trusted reputation in composition across media and brands (including Louis Vuitton and Glossier), AONIAN emerges from five-years of conceptual and instrumental experimentation, delivering a refreshing sound, listeners need.

His recent remix for the Glastonbury brothers - Speakman Sound - has been supported and played by DJ John Digweed in a Bunker Sessions set and his upcoming debut album has attracted interest from the likes of London start-up Remixology HQ and the recently awarded music blog Give it a Spin.

Ascent is out February 17, as the first single of his upcoming self-titled debut album.
