We Are The Sky is an American Indie Pop band based out of Sacramento California.  The band was created in 2012 by singer/songwriter Kenny Seunarine (former guitarist of the bands Across The Tide and Sunshine Estates) and is now quickly making a name for itself in the Sacramento music scene.  The current lineup is comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Kenny Seunarine, Bassist Andrew Barnhart, Violinist Ehren Grubel, and drummer Derek Rauh.  The band combines catchy pop melodies with heartfelt vocals and soothing violin to create a unique sound that is quickly catching the attention of many people all throughout the city of Sacramento. 
We Are The Sky is influenced by bands such as Owl City, Paramore, Anberlin, Copeland, Dashboard Confessional, and Parachute.  Lead vocalist Kenny Seunarine’s lyrics express his experience with relationships, love, and heartbreak in an attempt to relate to similar situations that people go through in their everyday lives.  The band just finished writing their first EP titled Way Back Home, which is set to be released in January of 2013.  We Are The Sky is currently writing their first full length album and is aiming to tour in the summer of 2013.  Surely there are big things to come of this band in the near future, so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for this new group of talented young musicians.
