Lone Wolf

Upstaging the Magician is a metalcore band from Columbus, Georgia, formed in 2014. The quintet—Garrett Arnold [lead vocals], Jonathan Gilmer [guitar, backing vocals], Ricky Rivera [guitar], Landon Bray [bass, backing vocals], and Walter Campbell [drums, percussion]—united to form a group that would be serious about their passion for playing and writing songs. The band has a unique take on metalcore, combining elements of classic rock songs with their favorite heavy sounds from metal, as well as drawing influence from classical and electronic music. They released their first EP, Arkham during the summer of 2014. The hard-hitting EP combines heavy syncopated breakdowns with quick guitar riffs and incredibly powerful vocals.
