Sometimes memory lane is a high-rise hotel in Seattle seen through a pair of tired eyes. 
And maybe I wound up buried in nostalgia while singing a new song into a cell phone laying on the hotel bed thinking about where the drums belong and when the piano starts and maybe I should’ve tuned the guitar. And I remembered that time someone hired me off Craigslist to play John Prine songs at his sons funeral overlooking the beach and I started sobbing because I had also just buried my Father and it was all too much. But then I went home and sang the new song into my phone again and the sound my children made while playing in the background means it was a perfect moment so I’m releasing it as just that. A perfect moment. A voice memo.

Broken drums, hand-me-down guitars, and lots of handclaps. Wild Coast, hailing from beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks to bring a mid-west Americana flair to the typical beach-folk that the music scene enjoys. The band found its roots in Denver, Co where the city is lovingly known as an “inland island” meaning there was nothing within 8 hours of the city but mountains. It was in this scene that Wild Coast found success with a much wider audience, landing opening slots on major tours as well as local radio support on multiple local stations for their single “Voices”, "Everything" and "on and on"

Over the past decade, the band has shared the stage with The Head and The Heart, Gregory Alan Isakov, Sea Wolf, Damien Jurado, and nearly three dozen other national touring acts. Known as a “go-to” for local support in the scene helped build a loyal and loving fan base.

 With the move to North Carolina, the band looks to continue this path to wider audiences, playing festivals up and down the East Coast as well as intimate backyard concerts and larger music halls. There are 11 songs that want to be released too. The band is working with Seattle producer/engineer Steven James Aguilar (Thrice, David Bazan, Then Head and The Heart, Josiah, and the Bonevilles, Damien Jurado) to put out their first LP titled “Breakers”.

 The album is a culmination of the travels and relationships that helped form the band from day one. The band has released singles from the upcoming LP “Slowly then all at once” expected early 2024 on Give/Take Records. They are currently working on intimate live videos of the songs that will make up the new album. The videos will be released as a precursor to the record.

 Influences include: Ryan Adams, Wilco, Billy Bragg, Merle Haggard, Black Coffee, San Francisco, Whiskey, skinny jeans, flannel shirts, and tongue-in-cheek lists on websites.
