I learned how to sing and play a guitar at a very early age, and decided to make music a career. I started in the music business at the age of 19, working at Record Plant Studios in New York City. I then went out on the road as a driver and manager for legendary singer/songwriter and guitar player, Dave Van Ronk.  I enrolled in the Manhattan School of Music to study voice and eventually I started my own entertainment business which lasted 28 years. I've always been a messenger and now a teacher, but along with spending time with my family; composing music, performing, singing, and playing in the band remains my first love.
I am influenced by many ancient ideas, and musical pasts. I love Indian, Persian, and Middle Eastern music.  I love Dead Can Dance, which you can hear in my own productions. I also love Miles Davis, and "chilled out", bluesy artists like him.
