A small boy leaves behind his holographic entertainment and explores the abandoned shopfronts outside. Down a forgotten alley he finds the last ever bookshop.

And inside, an ancient shopkeeper has been waiting over 25 years for a customer...

The Bakery is a collective of creative freelancers who make films, radio shows, podcasts, websites and anything funky on the side.

We met in Canterbury and have been staying up late making things together since about 2007.

In recent years we have featured regularly on BBC Radio, won some awards, appeared at film festivals, popped up in magazines and built an extensive web portfolio. One of us works at effects company The Mill, a few of us are in advertising, some of us have been down the Job Centre and at least one of us has been living on a bus with chickens.
