The name of this album speaks for itself. Inside you will find the essence of Burij's musical work during the last couple of years. In between of his collaboration productions, he was constantly experimenting and sculpting on his own sound. The result is this dark, melodic, stripped to the essence LP.

There is one feature though, the second track Sun. It wasn't difficult for Zoya to convince us for a collaboration. Her strong and crystal clear voice melted our hearts and microphones during the recording. Thanks to Zoyas professionalism, we needed just a couple of takes to create this piece, which is a perfect combination between high and rave culture.

Tracks 3 and 6 are older pieces in new clothes. It was essential to include them in Burij's first album, to show a complete image of his personal sound variety. 

The album "a collection of tracks made during the painful but very joyful search for my own unique sound" ends a long phase of creative work, to make space for new ideas and approaches. We are exited, what's next.

Burij, known for his unique blend of electronic music, is back with new material after the release of his debut album at the end of 2021. During the past few years, he took a break to focus on self-teaching and experimentation with new sounds, arrangements, and workflows. The result of this phase is his recent single “Last December”, which showcases his development as an artist. The track features deep synth patches, unusual textures, and cinematic effects that he created himself, while still maintaining his signature style in the groove and melodic elements. The mix is light and clean, with every element sitting tight in the composition. Though it may be shorter than his usual tracks, every bar is carefully crafted, leaving nothing unnecessary. Get ready for Burij’s latest release and experience his evolution as an artist.

Last December

Electronic music is a basic necessity. Without it, Burij cannot breathe, cannot function, cannot be himself. So, he doesn’t stop producing. The title of his latest single refers precisely to that. You don’t need it, but you always need the fundamental groove in life that sets the rhythm for everything else. And even when we are old and fragile, we are never alone as long as music remains in our lives.

We are currently residing in a highly fragmented reality where each individual holds their own unique set of values, idols, and icons. It’s akin to a universe brimming with private galaxies, and these galaxies are in a perpetual state of transformation.

As evidenced in his latest track, burij’s stars have shifted away from those who produce the most thunderous and melodically intense club anthems. Instead, they gravitate towards artists like Ricardo Villalobos and the trailblazers of the rominimal movement, such as Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, and Rhadoo.

While this track may not feature a consistently melodic theme, it undoubtedly boasts glitchy drums, infectious grooves, and mesmerizing repetitions.

Once again, the artwork for this single has been masterfully crafted by Pierre Sima Kunz.
