For the second hour we welcome Gilles Peterson in the slot for the 25th Anniversary of Solid Steel, a DJ who (along with Coldcut) also presented a show in the 90's on Kiss FM. For this mix he's layed down a 'Brit Funk 1977 - 1982' mix, returning to a period of music that was an important part of his life growing up. Music from independent labels, some run by record shops, like the first track by Cache on Groove Records. This is followed by the classic 'Trip to your mind' by Hudson People, a record that a 15 year old Gilles Peterson caught from them in the crowd at a Purley all-dayer.
