Shangano (formerly known as Weed ShebA in ciphas & still using name as an aka/alias) is a Recording Artist trading by his simple organic biological mononym, Shangano,styled as (ShangaNO.),pronounced (shun-gun-NO!).Born 1981, 21st December,-Shangano.O.Mudala-Mdojwa is your man, a UB Business Degree graduate who quit a Post Graduate Diploma course because being a School Teacher wasn’t a good enough plan B to fall back on for me.(Any 9-5 desk job but teaching was the motto for me then!)
I grew up in the country/village/rural place called Mmaphashalala/BW-EthiO-AferikA(1-12yrs old-[1981-1993]) and later Mahalapye/BW-EthiO-AferiKa(12-19yrs old-[1994-2000]). My father is Kalanga from Zwenshambe village in the North East(NE)- BW-EthiO-AferikA, and in Mmaphashalala(MP/Phashia) I am a nephew to Gammangwato uncles from Serowe, who now recide in MP,and so does my mother & father.
I came up with an underground Hip Hop group (Great Grand Parents-GGP-1997-2007) with Steez(Vincent M.Tiro) and Luna(Thuso.E.Letlotla). In 2000 October 1st I saw Dead Prez(US rap group) LIVE in Gabs at Maharaja Complex, few weeks later in the middle of my BGCSE exam I performed live on RB2’s ‘Strictly Hip Hop Life’ .There was also Skrapyard affiliation along the way. Steez’s 1st album was mostly produced on my PC, as well as my hardly registered company at the time; ChattaBOX Records being ceremoniously credited for the release of that album-“Streets are calling” in 2007. I personally featured in two (2) songs (‘brotherhood’ & ‘long time coming’) on the album as both Song Writer & Performer. I am responsible for naming the KEYZONE ENT (peace to Flame &Un-P) produced & released in 2006/7-‘OPEN MIC’. On the same mixtape I would also do a cameo feature on song called ‘desparados’ by GERO called Sniper at the time. Also in 2007 Rapper/eMCee Iceberg a GGP affiliate released his solo debut album ‘TAKE AWAY’-a project I wrote at least /almost half of the songs lyrics.
At two (2) different times, I did ACTING cameo features in The No 1 Ladies Detective movie & series (3-4months at the other one time) as a Continuity Extra playing a Barber Man.
Music though, has always been my Plan A, So to break the stereotype I ventured in formal Education & desk Job/Career hustle(Plan B) knowing when I get fed up with it(desk job) and proving exactly that a 9-5 thing ain’t for me then I will fall back on my life Hustle, Calling & Purpose-which is writing and artistically creating melodic poems. 
So like my ancestor Patriach Yakob, after senior school in 2000, where and when I could have started a music career, I did 6 years (2001-2007) for Leah/Degree and another 8 years (2009-2017) for Rachel /Plan B Career to SAVE and go home to start MY LIFE PLAN A (Writing, Arts & Music)…so the story goes, how it all started and NOW (2016 & on…) we are here.
My MOTTO, start always with plan B, so if it fails, you can now with full force all hands on deck focus on plan A FOR LIFE!! Still, if plan B succeeds, it’s a stepping stone you can now comfortably pick on plan A with, still!!!My 1st Long Play (LP) album/record should come in 2017 or ‘18, and this year 2016 I plan on releasing at least 2 singles as promo’s to build anticipation for 2017/18.Look out-‘’Phusha PhashiA’’-a quarter-to-semi autoBiO single about I & where im from,(1st things 1st-you already know!!!) …dropping soon.
