Zouk Heat 2024 Thursday

I started my set with Lambada and Brazilian Zouk for the "Keeping it Rio" theme for the lamba dancers at Zouk Heat.  Often times at events the lamba dancers like to have meet ups to gather and dance together and switch partners frequently.  For Zouk Heat 2024 they asked me if I could play lamba so they could all be on the dance floor and dance together.

>> DJ Nerds << In a recent private with DJ Kakah, I was challenged to experiment more outside the box. The only "planned" part of this set was the opening couplet and, beyond that, the idea was to play.  In this set I ended up transitioning in places I normally wouldn't, between genres that shouldn't work together, and playing with layering and mashups in bold, new ways. As a result, I felt more "visible" as a DJ, with more in-your-face (yet still smooth) transitions, and created a set with some of my strangest energetic / BPM curves to date. Hope you enjoy this little experiment 😉
