After various releases on Weevil Neighbourhood, two of the label's key figures, Anthone, who made a first appearance in 2012 with the "Aloof" EP and "Double Dub/ Clear View" as well as "Breath/Lungs" in 2014 and Katsunori Sawa, who debuted with the "LR" EP in 2011 together with Yuji Kondo as Steven Porter and later released "The Two Legs" (2013) as well as "Holy Ground" (2014) as a solo artist, team up as BOKEH for their first collaborative outing dubbed "Peace Obscured".

The release comes as a 12" EP combining both artists' trademark musical vocab - industrial dub and noise influenced techno - resulting in a three tracker of relentlessly driving bottom end rave. Black vinyl, 500 copies only, artwork by Lee Noble (No Kings Records/ Bathetic).

Following the Peace Obscured EP by BOKEH, his joint venture with Anthone, Katsunori Sawa sets yet another mark on The Weevil Neighbourhood with his first full-length solo artist album on the label. Titled Secret of Silence the eight tracks-spanning work of Kyoto based Sawa drills through Japan Techno, Industrial Breaks and Noise while flirting with Breakcore and a more aggressive take on Dub.

Katsunori Sawa has been with the label for pretty much four years now with solo projects as well as joint ventures (besides the aforementioned BOKEH, he's also part of Steven Porter with his brother in arms Yuji Kondo with whom he also runs their own 10 label). His musical career reaches back another few years when he was writing and producing under EOC (short for Enormous O'Clock), including an album for Ai Records.

The release comes as a limited edition 12" record on black vinyl with artwork by L.A. based Lee Noble (No Kings Records/ Bathetic). 50 copies come on transparent/smokey vinyl and are sold through the label's shop exclusively.

Anthone and Katsunori Sawa team up again under their Bokeh alias delivering a 12" single on The Weevil Neighbourhood.

On A side "Lancashire", Bokeh explore the realms of Drum & Bass tempo challenging the how-low-can-you-go with extremely deep subs while "Fast Fiver" on the B side doubles up on your regular 4/4 while on a heavy dub chord's leash.

With recent releases on Opal Tapes and Stone Tapes (together with Chafik Channouf) as well as various remixes and single contributions still in the pipeline, Katsunori Sawa's schedule is already quite busy for this year.

Since he debuted under his current moniker on The Weevil Neighbourhood in 2013, honing his skills over the years as a solo producer as well as in collaboration projects like Steven Porter (with Yuji Kondo) or Bokeh (with Anthone), it's fair to say that the Kyoto based artist already left a lasting imprint on contemporary Industrial Techno and the darker side of Dub. Katsunori Sawa is a name to remember.

Torimimasataka is an experimental sound and visual artist based in Osaka, Japan and the latest addition to The Weevil Neighbourhood's artist roster.

For the label he produced "ZOCSOF" containing seven pieces of dub and noise fueled breakbeat experiments, highly dense in composition, cryptically abbreviated in title.

Released in February 2020 on C-35 Tape and digital format.
