Biography
Dan Cousineau (stage name “D.”Aka DCou) is an aspiring Canadian songwriter who began writing short poems at the age of 11. “D.” first started listening to rap/hip hop at the age of 13, and was so influenced that he began writing music of his own. On Dec 31st 2005, just three years later, D had self-produced his first musical project, which included writing the lyrics and performing all of the sound engineering himself. The CD, entitled “DCou Don’t Play” included his remix to the beats “This is how we do”, “What’s that” ft. The Ghost, "DCou Don’t Play”. His flows, combined with his clever and catchy choruses quickly picked up, however, like every other aspiring artist, some work needed to be done before a steady platform could be reached (or achieved?).

At the age of 17, “D.” met up with his childhood friend” Wes.B aka G, for collaboration in a genre they both loved, Hip Hop. Both residing in the city of Ottawa, Canada, they started working on their projects. After long discussions about the direction of their project, each of them began writing lyrics for various beats provided by www.soundclick.com. In a span of four months, he had written 60 as part of the project entitled “A-Bomb Mixtapes”. The idea behind this name (A-Bomb = Atomic Bomb) was that this new and versatile style of music was going to blow the audience away and pave the way for positive Hip Hop Music. A year later the project came to life in the form of a CD entitled A-Bomb Mixtapes presents “Let It Be Known”, featuring artists from the surrounding area including A.S., Hatali, Vishious and Christine.

With this venture into a new side of the hip hop world, D. picked up quite an interest in Producing (not the beats but the idea of building and mastering an album/mixtape) every project put out including video clips editing, music, advertising, marketingeven down to managing the Label.

After learning that there is nothing better than working with “Family”, D. got the record label started. Without hesitation, the name “We Family Entertainment” came to mind and it quickly picked up from there. D, striving to market his music and keep his fans informed of the latest and greatest news and music via forums such as:

As the 2013 year begins, D. has new work material coming in the next Year, and plenty of New Collaboration Projects to bring as well, get ready as this year will be yet another Mixtape Series Year!!
