Thru a thick summer night, crossing boundaries, crawls this short album from the quite obscure, rather mute and not-as-much-as-you'd-like communicative but still potential Belarussian underground. Founded in 2005 by Tim "Pogremushka" in Minsk, Simptom Pogremushki (Rattle Symptom) is a standalone outfit of the Solntsetsvety (Sunflowers) art group. Tim regards his project as a "version of experimental and electronic music with a central interest in the white light neglect of low fidelity."

These tracks were recorded by Tim in 2008/2009 in collaboration with the Minsk band Gentle Bombardiers: Alexander Kosirev ("Death Rattle"), Di ("Lonely Sky"), Nemaulatka Padlud ("Uneasy Heartbeat", "Vomo" and "Nookc" with W. S. Burroughs' lyrics). Most of the tracks were recorded with old lo-fi microphones "Smena" (1968) and a small noisy mixer with one broken output. Eventually Gentle Bombardiers left these documented live sessions to Tim's discretion and thus gave him permission to make an album under the Simptom Pogremushki name.

Gentle Bombardiers is a rock n' roll band with elements of noise, classical drone and shoegaze, formed in 2009 by ex-Notre Dame des Fleurs musicians. In Minsk this outfit remains in deep underground, even relative to the underground musical scene. However, these musicians played a great gig on 22 Oct 2008 with Damo Suzuki under the name of Magical Unicellular Music V.

Originally released in 2005 on the short-lived Tulipesä net-label run by Pentti Dassum. Keijo had not known Pentti and had not known of Tulipesä when he received an email from him asking whether he had anything that could be released as a net-album. So Keijo chose these tracks and sent them. Pentti liked them, and there they went. Keijo managed somehow in the process to delete the original recordings from his computer, so for a while they only existed on that CDr he had sent to Pentti. Later, when Pentti visited Jyväskylä in March 2005, he met Keijo for the first time and gave him a copy of the original disc. Eventually Tulipesä somehow disappeared, but in the meantime Pentti did some further work with Keijo (booking a Kheta Hotem gig, taking care of their sound in concert, producing a master from Jukka & Keijo recordings which will soon be released on wax).

"This is where it began". Field recordings, drones and found objects. TIWIB is an audiovisual project by Francesco Paolo Addati (sound), already tenor sax player in a band called "Ne Travaillez Jamais" and Efisio Nicolò Sabiucciu (video) from "Samples Lab". A part of "River Of Blood" features Eugenio Altieri. Recorded in Naples between March and September 2011.
The album soon ought to be released in 50 copies (CD+DVD) for Naples' Fallo Dischi.

Keijo: "It is a bit "confused" album… As i remember - maybe not right - that there were not many "themes" or recurring "threads" in those tracks, but what i do remember very lively, it was very intensive doing those tracks - and sadly my poor minidisk was so situated that it did not take the whole richness of the room's soundworld. Later we had a housepart there and boys put the minidisk on the ceiling from where it fell down just before the best 45 min freejazz-drone-rhythtmblues jamsession. Those sessions were well crowded.
It was our tour, we playd in Stockholm, Copenhagen, then several places in Holland an Belgium and then on the way in Sweden again - but the album is collected only from tracks recorded one day in Den Haag where we stayed in a squat, a big house, a former police-department, then a school, then abandoned, and then young(ish) people had moved in."

Recorded between September and December 2012 with the urgent need to electrify the musty food and the tame bodies.
Materials used: musical waste, exquisite fruits from the oniric smuggling, radiations from a game called “Suspicion”. Against all authority. A total mockery of the systematic boredom of the virile gargoyles.

"Finland and New Zealand. Two strange little countries at the outer reaches of the globe. Both somehow conducive to eccentric home recording hermits seeking to share their day dream reveries with the masses in the bloated countries of the world. I’d been trading with Jani for a couple of years, we both had our own small record labels. I liked his music and he liked mine — it was a somehow natural idea that we collaborate.
That said the NTHnthSTHsth project developed and evolved over a surprisingly long period. This was mainly because it all happened in the days of dial up internet and slow data transfer, the recordings were realised by posting 4trk tapes to each other to overdub, small packages travelling by ship or plane from one end of the world to the other. At one stage there was an especially long delay when I lost a package of tapes and only found it again when moving house.
Campbell Kneale released our first album on his Celebrate Psi Phenomenon label. A track appeared on the PseudoArcana compilation ‘Tone of the Universe’. Our second album came out as an LP on Release the Bats. Jani recently found a forgotten unreleased track and this will be released alongside a new track on an upcoming PseudoArcana lathe cut.
Maybe one day Jani and I will finally meet in person and record together in a room. This is an exciting day dream for me."
