Throughout human history and across most native traditions, constant repetitive rhythms and the steady drone of chanting have carried shamans and other spiritual seekers into other dimensions in ecstatic trance. Even today, this music, as ancient as the rocks and wind, provides sacred transport to higher states of well being and bliss. Attaining the Shante Ishta is the goal of this journey. This is the “single eye of the heart," the third eye or wisdom eye of the ancients--the shaman's eye. It is the place where the individual soul attunes to the collective, universal heartbeat that unites us all.

Shaman's Eye brims with multi-layered currents of sound and chanting woven around a steady stream of theta rhythms. These provocative rhythms are designed to tap into our own ancestral depths and call us into the secret worlds of trance. Each of these musical landscapes is alive with its own distinctive spirit energy. As they carry us forward they become the vehicle for our journeys.

In the true spirit of musical alchemy, Amani Friend blends his technical skills with his innate understanding of the power of sound and vibration to heal and transform. With deep reverence, he weaves the strands of pan-global percussive and melodic expressions, sacred chants, and the atmospheres of nature around the steady heartbeat of trance to inspire inner journeys.

Roots Of The Earth

When we dance the third eye we intend to have a dance of in-sight so we begin by formulating a question around something in our life that we are seeking more clarity on. As we breathe and dance into the third eye we open into a no-mind state, a silent peaceful place. Our higher intuitive mind can be heard when the mental chatter ceases, so that is why we focus on a no-mind state for the dance.

The focus of the third eye dance is to integrate a deeper aware-ness of the life issues and patterns in all of the chakras. It is a dance of integration rather than purification. It is a dance to open up to the new evolutionary ways of being. We dance to gain clarity and insight, as cultivating the third eye aligns us to divine mind and higher consciousness.

“Stand With Us to Bless the Waters” is our prayer of solidarity for the Lakota Sioux Nation, & all the Water Protectors who have converged in North Dakota Standing Rock Reservation at the Dakota Access Pipeline. This is the first time in centuries that all the indigenous nations of Turtle Island (America) have come together in unity & guardianship for our Earth. This unprecedented tribal convergence has been catalyzed by the pipeline, but is representative of something much larger & more profound than a protest. 

In support for the situation in North Dakota, Amani Friend (Liquid Bloom) and Summit Jaffe (Numatik) were both separately inspired to create music for water and prayer.  Coincidentally, the two tracks were both finished at the same time on fall equinox and they were also written in the same key, making it ideal to interweave them into a one unified piece of music. While sitting in the New Mexico Hot Springs after Unify festival, Amani and Summit had the inspiration to curate this remix album. Producers from all over the world, like Earth Cry, Mystral, Soulacybin, Martin’s Garden, Ecometric, Gumi, and Twin Shape added their unique psychedelic downtempo flavors. Native elders like Black Fox Pomani, John Ball Running Eagle, and Yona FrenchHawk imbued the music with intentional water prayers. United together, we humbly offer this medicinal musical journey in support and healing. Water is Life!

Liquid Bloom - Bless The Waters (Ambient Instrumental Mix)

The Initiation of the Shakti Queen comes when we have embodied all of the six archetypes. 

Divine Mother: She is a womb centred woman, who has surrendered open to the Divine flows of Divine Mother, father God Goddess.

 The Lover: Her erotic intelligence has lined up with Divinity. Her inner Aphrodite is in her temple and she is not leaking he sexual power. 

The Wild Women: Kali is the aspect of our shakti our erotic energy that is the fire of transformation. She is the current of liberation that can travel through our bodies and chakras purifying and clearing all the stuckness all the numbness if we have the courage to feel.

The Priestess: She has passed the initiation of the priestess, her devotional heart has cracked open and she has found the deep stillness and presence of the priestess and embodies her inner feminine and inner masculine as one ecstatic alchemical flow of creation. 

The Wise Women: The wise woman leads as her voice of authority and she leads through her kind heart. She is a womb centred woman and her voice echoes her instinctual wisdom and deep heart knowing.

Shakti Queen: She is a queen for she is not afraid to be seen in her vulnerability or her power. She shines her radiant light upon all beings she touches. The Queen is an ecstatic devotee of Divine and her life is lived through the heart in service and in surrender to Love.

This originally was recorded live at Free Motion Ecstatic Dance in Boulder on February 6th, 2017. I've since added and edited layers to make it be a nice morning meditation for you all to enjoy :)  
It's in the key of C so it corresponds with the root chakra, and features live nature recordings I captured in Mexico, and Israel. Also you will hear clips of the Muslim call for prayer and Jewish Davening (praying) as a statement of peace and unification. We are human beings experiencing life second by second. No reason to draw lines between one another when we can all be celebrated as individuals and a collective. Wei Chi Field (Pronounced Way-Chee Field) literally translating to "protective energy field,” is an eclectic music project lead by Dan Yolles that aims to connect listeners to their own energy field a well as the community’s, via vibrant vibrations and infinite soundscapes, intended to bring about movement, deep expression and inner heeling. Many of the sounds woven in the music are recorded from moments and experiences around the world, especially from nature and cultural hot spots that are then transformed into the fluvial beats and melodic motifs. But perhaps what makes Wei Chi Field unique is their element of organic/live instrumentation supported by Dan, Samuel Wexler, and other guest musicians. This love infused music is intended to take listeners on expansive journeys that reach desert lands, underwater oases, remote jungles and rain forests, the cosmos, and the depths within. Wei Chi Field gently cradles your energetic being, presenting your mind with sacred harmonies and intricate composition to grasp your body with deep down to mid-tempo bass rhythms.
