Let Go 2023

Recently, I found my old archive of Amiga mod files, and inside one of them, to my complete shock, were wave samples of my mother playing the violin. She passed in 2016, and none of her music survived, so this was quite the surprise. I managed to rescue the 8-bit and noisy files that were recorded with a plastic mic in the 90s. I cleaned and restored the audio, and composed this track around it in honor of her memory. I hope you enjoy it; I thoroughly enjoyed creating it.

It seems the original melody is an old scottish folk tune named Archibald MacDonald of Keppoch, first published in the 1700's.
