This is an ambient soundscape using a variety of synths and drum machines found via the Apple APP store.  In addition, a major component of this track are samples from the NASA sound library, including a test fire of the SLS rocket, an Atlas V rocket, Sputnik, and audio recorded from Saturn by the Cassini space probe.

Journey To Saturn

This sample was created to use in Patterning, a sequencing app developed by Olympia Sound Co.  to share in their new Cloud Kits feature.  The sample was created by recording multiple layers of tuba and trombone, mixing and altering FX on individual tracks, and creating a unique sound effect that can be pitch shifted, chopped, and edited in many ways to create new interesting bass tones! TROMBORG is a project by producer, audio engineer, trombonist, and human Brian T. Weingartner. This album is the product of tinkering away with making electronic grooves as well as putting instruments through effects processors, then re-recording some of those sounds from the studio monitors with a microphone through another effects processor and back into the mix. He then mangles the audio further when mixing down creating otherworldly sonic experiences.

The Sky Is A Neighbourhood (Tromborg v. Foo Fighters)

"Project Echo" is producer Brian T. Weingartner's latest work via his project TROMBORG.
Instruments on this track include: KORG EMX-1, the Tromborg electro-acoustic trombone, acoustic guitar, and electric 3 string tobacco tin slide guitar. This work was recorded onto the Tascam 388 reel-to-reel 8 track studio recorder.

The voice over audio is an archive from NASA's JPL Lab with original recordings from tests and broadcasts using their first ever communications "sataloon" the Echo. I felt particularly inspired by this, and decided the voice overs would compliment my music nicely.

My name is Brian Weingartner, and I'm an audio engineer, musician, and producer.  I've been playing trombone for just over 17 years and working in audio since 2007.  I'm originally from Arizona, spent some time in Oakland, California, and now live in Vancouver BC.  Currently getting the new label up and running while working as a freelance engineer and going back to school to finish my Bachelors in Music from the University of British Columbia.
