As one of those surprises we didn’t see coming in 2020, the frenchman has landed like a pure UFO in the electronic landscape.

Through a completely crazy hybrid style combining strong rolling basslines, distorted kicks and surpitched manga samples, his style is so easily identifiable that it became a unique signature sound in barely one year.

Hyperactive producer, restless DJ but also VJ performer, this guy is doing his thing so fiercely that it comes as no surprise to find him on labels such as Union Trance Mission, Ismus or SpeedMaster Records, providing pure destroyers with each new release.

He’s sharing his overflowing energy with us today through this deadly high speed mix, driving between tribe, trance and some of his own bombs!

Leon aka HAYAKU is a DJ from munich who found his love to electronic music on the Dancefloor.  Hey plays various genres with the focus on fast and energetic tunes. As he takes many influences from the copenhagen trance szene he often finds himself in the psytrance genre.

Depuis qu’elle y a goûté, Eklose n’a jamais pu quitter le
dancefloor qui est devenu pour elle, un espace
d’émancipation, de militantisme et d’expression artistique.
Co-fondatrice et résidente de l’association Elemento
Records, elle défend avec passion la place qu'ont les femmes,
les personnes trans et non binaire dans la culture rave.

Déterminée à défricher la scène techno et hard dance, elle a
rapidement laissé courir ses doigts sur les platines pour à
son tour faire vibrer les corps. Elle sélectionne pour ses sets,
des tracks de hard techno résolument rave tout en proposant
des descentes vers l’acide et la trance. Toujours à la
recherche de kicks saturés, de distorsion, et de synthés
démentiels, elle aime faire jumper les foules. Cette quête
incessante s’étend aujourd’hui à la production, dans laquelle
on retrouve son esprit libertaire qui sent bon l’émancipation.

If you still haven’t heard about ABEM, you haven’t been paying much attention to the Neo-Rave/Trance revival that's been happening in the French scene for a good couple of years. Having released on labels such as Maison Close Records, Hardest Soft or Ismus, ABEM is making a name through himself in the „New Techno“, or as he puts it, „Hybrid Techno“ underground scene. Safe to say that his productions have something different, they are raw and ruthless and introduce weird but groovy elements one does not expect from the Trance genre. One of his main influences is Japanese culture, including Manga, and he embodies it through tracks like his recently released „Inugami“, that represents the Japanese term for a „spiritual possession by the spirit of a dog”.  Other than this, you cannot put ABEM in a box, his productions and DJ sets have something different and since I heard the first song I hear from him "Hot Night" on Jahannam Rec. it was clear to me: this man is different, he has a different kind of energy than these other super hyped artists that also produce within the genre.

In this interview we talk about his creative process, how he goes about transmitting the different concepts of his music tot he listener, the development oft he French scene, dealing with labels and more!
