As nothing’s better than some straight bangin’ acid lines to start the new season, we’re thrilled to host a 1H live from @DICA-mkrksm for the 9th episode of our Podcast Series!

Based in Rennes and strongly influenced by the acid vibrations emerging from the other side of the Channel, it’s through Acid UK and flagship labels of this movement that DICA finds the first impulse to create his own music. Quickly surrounded by an analogical arsenal, we find him a few years later with an already perfectly-mastered hard-techno live, ready to make the walls sweat.

Today, his overboosted sound has found its place on labels such as Fluctuat Rec, KTK, Recollection, or even Stay Up Forever… We can already say that the circle is complete.

Groovy rhythms, frenetic 303’s & rolling basslines, it is quite simply a burning podcast that the frenchman gives us the honor to share through this new episode!

Classical dancer and pianist converted to the art of DJing, Jean Terechkova is from Normandy and Rennes by adoption. She cultivates fertile metamorphoses, just like her stage name, the addition of a long-standing male nickname and a tribute to the first female cosmonaut. Since her first love for industrial techno, she multiplies her references and widens her musical spectrum towards the rave sounds of the 90s, acid, hardcore, pushing to frapcore and other forms of hard dance. However, her mixes always bring out the melody of devastating kicks, and seek, beyond the violence, all the poetry of brutality.

Released on KTK Records, Tétraèdre or HardVision, his high paced productions reflect the current effervescence of the French techno scene and the promise of beautiful future cavalcades.

Co-founder of the Rennes-based collective Mikrokosm whose unhinibited vibes have been hitting Breton dancefloors for more than 5 years, it is with a total freedom of influences that he has built his very own and rowdy style of acid techno. 

Between strong scents of early-hardstyle, UK infused rhythms and a special skill for epic breaks, it must be said that his arsenal is pretty well loaded. An arsenal that he always deploys with an overflowing generosity, and a pure frenzy vibe.

Habituée des BPM à haute intensité, récemment à la tête de son propre label Alwarda Records dédié à la techno, la tekno et la psytrance et co-fondatrice du collectif VLAST avec son acolyte Jace Yin : Rose n’a pas fini de faire trembler la Suisse. Co-founders of the Rennes based collective Mikrokosm, @DICA_mkrksm & @Teokad have always shared the same love for acid sounds and high-powered rhythms. A devoted passion that brought them to collaborate on pure bangin’ tracks, but also to play gigs all over Europe and beyond in the past years, each one on their own. 

Allowing them to constantly improve their skills, those years have also been the opportunity to respectively push their sounds towards greater efficiency and power, by taking new trajectories, or going deeper in their own styles. This is where DICA’s UK acid-techno got overboosted with rolling basslines and other trance-like sounds, while Teokad added strong scents of early hardstyle to his arsenal.

But since friendship, Brittany's roots and acid always rule, it seemed pretty obvious that they would join forces on stage at one point or another. And they just did it the best way, with a 4-hands live performance played for the first time last summer at the Astropolis Festival.

Dans ses productions, elle vous projette dans un univers futuriste. La douceur et la brutalité font partie de ses compositions. Elle est le mélange entre la lumière et l’obscurité. 
 
D’autant plus, elle cultive cette passion depuis son plus jeune âge car elle est multi-instrumentiste. 
 
Sur scène, elle produit un style Hard Techno qui est animé par ses machines en hardware.

Since her first love for piano to the heavy grooves she now generously deploys behind the decks, it seems that the french artist takes delight in cultivating fertile metamorphoses - just like her stage name, the addition of a long-standing male nickname and a tribute to the first female cosmonaut.

From Normandy and Rennes by adoption, she has quickly made her place among the scene through a strong taste for cathartic sounds. By cathartic, we mean the most extreme flavors that can be found in the rave musical spectrum, from 90’s acid, trance, hardstyle, hardcore, to all other forbidden territories. A straight-to-the-floor yet fine selection of bangers, so satisfying and brilliantly mixed that she brings out - beyond the violence - all the poetry of brutality.
