Fresh off the release of Ithaca, his cinematic EP released this June, Denver-based producer, instrumentalist, DJ, and New Something label chief Weir raises the stakes of late summer with this taste of his danceable new direction. In the fifteenth episode of Moonlight Mixtapes, he blends live sounds, delicate piano chords, kaleidoscopic meditations, and tropical soundscapes in a tapestry of organic influences that evokes sunsets and shorelines. Clever vocal cues and a haunting remix of Australian singer-songwriter Ry X signal a shift in the energy toward the sultry side as Weir mixes in dark progressive layers with his own techno style before closing out the hour with a spirited reminder of his ritual house roots.

Kenya Grace - Strangers (Weir Remix)
