A native of Northern Ireland, though born of Chinese parents, Weisan started her music journey in the small town of Larne in Co. Antrim. Weisan first delved into the Indie music scene in Belfast. Spotting a notice at college, with a band looking for a singer, she went and audtioned. Shortly after, she joined trip-hop band, Braille Acoustics, where she enjoyed recording for BBC Radio One’s ‘Evening Sessions’ (Northern Ireland) and touring with the band in Ireland, UK and France. 

Craving a further education in music, Weisan packed up and moved to London. It was there she met her new band mates, 'National Snack'. A high energy alternative/punk band with motown influenced backing vocals. Touring with the band as a backing vocalist, she was enthused and inspired by their creativity. Weisan decided to quit the band and started her own project where she wrote, recorded and released her E.P. Thank You in 2010. This is where her own musical journey as a songwriter started and continues.

Once described by NME as 'Subterranean' whilst touring with former band 'Braille Acoustics', Weisan has developed a wholly unique sound of her own, that is at home anywhere but immediately hard to place under any one genre. Dark, rich tones and hypnotic melody lines, coupled with her profound and poetic lyrical style, sets Weisan apart from her peers and makes listening to her music a truly refreshing experience. 

Weisan has been enjoying fine-tuning her piano skills and playing solo these days but you will find her performing with different line-ups for different projects.
