We’re a Scandinavian band based in Berlin, WeKings. 
You could say our music exists on the axis of big city life,  and our longing for nature, family, feeling connected as humans - home. 

Even though we're individually not new to the music scene, as a group we're only about to release our 2nd song 'One Day’. 
‘One Day’…  it's about the interpretation of a truth. Most of what is said out loud, tends to differ from the actual thoughts we have at any given moment. It is about trying to figure out who we are, and who others are.  

TRAVELLING PHONE
As we all miss our Scandinavian homelands, living in Berlin, we have sent a phone to Oslo, Norway. 
It is now taking a road trip on its own, handed from one person to the next, while sending pictures back to us via Instagram.

Halfhearted Prayers is about being a 100% present and taking things all the way. Making our own luck. No excuses. It's easy to blame society for our shortcomings but if we all take a close look at ourselves, we have more power than we sometimes think.

HALFHEARTED PRAYERS

We’re a Scandinavian collective, based in Berlin. Music is our faces, and music is our names. 
You could say our music exists on the axis of big city life, and our longing for nature, family, feeling connected as humans - home.  

We love music and also art. Our visual art is created from drawings made out of the song lyrics. Combining them with original oil paintings, they create moods to underline the music and make thoughts flow. 
Sometimes to the North. Sometimes to a place of mixed emotions.

ABOUT CONFUSION:
Sometimes we destroy something beautiful, 
because we get lost in confusion. 
This song tries to portray the contradictions that play out in peoples minds when they are in this state.
It’s not black.
It’s not white. 
It's life.

To celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd), Berlin based WeKings release their EP ‘Redemption Songs’. 

The title track, ’Redemption Song’ is written as a conscious reminder of how fragile our planet is and how important it is to protect it. “In our busy lives, it is easy to forget how interdependent we are on each other and on planet Earth. Earth Day for us is a reminder of the beauty of our planet, but also of our interconnectedness, and our responsibility to take care of the environment.”
