Well, ok. Not strictly a debut. Our Mexico maestro, Paulor, did feature on the third instalment of our Familiar Faces series back in 2020, and now he’s back, as one half of our new cosmic couple. As resident DJ of the legendary Futuro Primitivo he has soundtracked the nights for so many and showcased his own music on Life And Death, DGTL, Kompakt and more.

Never Losing That Track (Genning Radio Version)

“Beneath The Leylandii”, the inaugural album from enigmatic duo Badwizad, emerges as a masterclass in genre-blurring electronica, released via his self-founded Badwizad Records. Spanning nine tracks, the record melds downtempo psychedelia with organic, groove-laden textures, anchored by hypnotic rhythms, funk-tinged guitar riffs, and a kaleidoscope of sonic flourishes. Evoking the cerebral ambience of “Dark Side Of The Moon” and the eclectic futurism of “Plastic Beach”, Badwizad channels a lineage of boundary-pushing acts while nodding to modern trailblazers like Bonobo and Bicep.
