Just Say No - Light Years Away (2021)

“Uneven” è il titolo del primo lavoro ufficiale dei Welcome Coffee, band triestina fondata nel 2011 da Alessandro Pollicardi (voce e chitarra) e Stefano Ferrara (basso).

Le sonorità delle 11 canzoni contenute in quest’album, interamente autoprodotto dalla band, sono piuttosto eterogenee: rock, pop, prog e funky si mescolano in maniera oculata per un mix accorto e lungimirante.

L’ascolto di “Uneven” scorre fluido, risultando allo stesso tempo orecchiabile e tecnicamente ricercato accontentando i gusti musicali più disparati.

I testi delle tracce (di cui 2 in italiano) trattano tematiche varie: angosce contemporanee, introspezione, violenza e amore, lasciando anche spazio a una più leggera e ironica demenzialità.

I pezzi presenti nel cd sono rappresentativi del molteplice mondo sonoro dei Welcome Coffee: si va dal Rock sperimentale di “Maneki Neko”, "M.U.L." e “Sleepwalker”, alle sonorità mediorientali di “Notte Araba”, passando per il prog di “W.W.G.” e quello della stravagante “Slapstick”, per poi arrivare alle sonorità elettropop di “Ignorance” e di “Sunglasses”.

Inoltre ritroviamo “My 7th time” e “I do” già presenti sul precedente lavoro, l’EP “Box #2”, e sapientemente riarrangiate dopo l’ingresso nella band di Andrea Parlante (tastiere) e Mattia Agostinis (batteria).

Oltre all'aspetto propriamente musicale, questo lavoro ha una importante veste grafica firmata da Nataša Mandic.

Il prodotto vanta collaborazioni d'eccezione nella scena musicale triestina, come le voci di Leonardo Zannier su “Notte Araba” e Simone “The Leading Guy” Zampieri su “Sunglasses”

The Mirror Show - The Mirror Show EP (2017)

Welcome Coffee is a prog/rock alternative music project formed in Trieste (Italy) in 2012.
The basic idea of the project is to mix various musical sounds without identifying a particular genre, giving free rein to the attitude of the individual musicians.
In 2013 we released our first work “Box # 2“, a 5 track EP.
In 2015 we released our first LP called “UneVen“.
In 2017 we record a new Ep called “The Mirror Show” with a brand new lineup and sound. We also publish a video tribute to Twin Peaks called “Doppelgänger“.
In 2018 we publish the first official video clip called “The Mirror Show”.

Between the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 new material is composed for the next album between a live and another:
In June 2019 the recordings of the 11 tracks of the album begin.
Due to Covid-19 and lineup changes, in 2021 we finally finish the recordings of our second LP called “Light Years Away” which will be distributed and promoted by the indie label Overdub Recordings.
In July 2021 the first video clip of the single "Light Years Away" is released, which anticipates the release of the album.
In September, it is the turn of the second single "Ice in my Mouth".
The october 22th “Light Years Away” is available on all major digital platforms via Overdub Recordings.
