The Rusty presents many of the varied elements of Wellbeloved's music, from punk to psychedelic to twang, with a few hints of jazz, prog, and blues tossed in. The lyrics are heartfelt, honest, cynical, hopeful, political, sometimes humorous, and often reflective. It embraces many chaotic elements and distills them into a singular rock style.
