I could blather on about the highs and lows of single motherhood and money issues indefinitely because I know firsthand that wealthy moms have a host of unique complications that keep them up at night. This is an exciting time for women because we now have the tools and the opportunities to achieve independence if we can only shed societal expectations once and for all. Take a moment to reflect on the novelty and significance of a wealth management program devoted only to high net worth women? It’s a neat time to be us. Emma and I delve into these issues and more. We discuss why women in particular tend to have more hang ups with money and risk, and we question how best to coax a more confident approach so we can kick vulnerability to the curb. I also touch on how I stumbled into my own career and how others can pivot their lives if they learn not to be afraid of taking a chance. We may not actually solve the age old question of how to achieve The Elusive Balance once and for all but, man, we come close (hint: outsource and banish guilt).

If there is one thing I want to leave in this world (aside from three wonderful children), it is to help women live up to their financial potential. This is a mission rooted in a lifetime of experiences, and one that influences my work, family life, and contributions in my community.
I am a financial advisor with more than 20 years of professional experience. I serve on the very selective Elite Producer Group Committee within AXA Advisors. A Texas A&M graduate, I started my career in financial services and joined AXA Advisors in 1998. I earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner(R) designation in 2000, when I was one of just five women under age 30 in the state of Texas to accomplish this rigorous credentialing, and I'm named a Five Star Wealth Manager in the Texas Monthly Magazine. 
When I’m not helping clients take control of their lives through financial management, you can find me throwing a ball in the front yard with my 9-year-old son, and late evening dog walking with one of my teen daughters. I live with my three children and yellow lab, George in Houston, where I'm on the board of my local library, and member and former chair associates roundtable Chair of James A Baker III Institute at Rice University. I'm a competitive runner, paddle boarder, and Olympic distance triathlete. I host weekly Fajita Fridays for my family and neighbors and never have my nails done, and feel perfectly OK about it.
