The magnum opus of Krasnodar-based producer and Fuselab founder Evgeny Shchukin aka FMSAO delves deeper into his sonic world through psychedelic dub, off-kilter dance music, and his signature lo-fi ambient pieces on the gargantuan two-hour album ‘Ультимэ (Ultimae)’. 

In addition to his hyperpop project WOLS, as well as Cossack folklore low-end reinterpretations for Aisha Devi’s Danse Noire on Narcissi duo, Evgeny Shchukin has cut his teeth on ambient and drone fields for three releases under his FMSAO moniker. The curator of Fuselab and passionate collaborator Shchukin invited the label family to breathe a new life into his unique sound and cross-pollinate the sonic map of the community in multiple directions. The most intricate, complex, and trailblazing FMSAO work to date, ‘Ultimae’ is expressing his truest form and pushes boundaries in beguiling ways. Welcome to FMSAO's next musical chapter: Ultimae.

"Float Nix" by jhg is a deeply emotive work that navigates through a spectrum of intense feelings, blending unsettling darkness with profound melancholy. The recording immerses the listener in a world where haunting dissonance and sorrowful reflection coexist, creating a space that feels both alien and achingly familiar.

Beneath the surface, there’s an almost imperceptible thread of intrigue, hinting at hidden truths and enigmatic forces that linger just out of reach. The soundscapes, shaped and textured by the warm, analog tones of cassette tapes, are shrouded in a brooding atmosphere, with each track evoking a different shade of emotion—from the edge of despair to the weight of isolation. This work is a raw and powerful expression of the complexities of the human experience, where jhg masterfully intertwines experimental sounds with deep emotional undercurrents, leaving the listener with a sense of mystery and unease.

Second full-length from St. Petersburg-based producer jhg. Far West Synthetic plays like a third-generation VHS dream dubbed to cassette — warped, smudged, and barely holding together. It hums with interference, flickers with half-memories, and carries a narcotic glow, as if recorded deep in a dead zone where no signal gets through. Collaborations with dfyan, Silbad, and FMSAO act like pulses of distant warmth and rhythm, guiding the listener through the fog. Somewhere between outsider house, techno abstraction, and corroded ambient, the album drifts with the feeling of synthetic wind passing through leaded glass. Glitchy, unstable, but still quietly radiant — music that remembers it’s being listened to, even from far away.
