Not much to report about this friendly dog from the neighborhood, only that he’s always up to no good. His favorite food is pizza and his only hobbies are doing dirt and spinning tunes on a regular. To be precise - every Friday. 76 Mixtapes in the books and counting.

It all started when the pandemic hit the hardest, roughly 19 months ago, with his first mixtape named “Cabin Fever”. As the title already suggested - this was his way to cope with the lockdown and the sudden lack of social interaction. He found love and warmth in the music he carefully collects and the “Digest Mixtape” series is trying to give some of that positivity back.

This mix represents the pure essence of outsider house sound from the center of Europe from Geneva, Switzerland. In this tasty you can hear the best of the tracks.
So the track 'What u need' is his latest track out, a collaboration with @PedroCanas , out on his label @MidtownHouseNYc . 

The track 'You were mine' is recently released too, with the label @chezCritique, and is on a VA with artists such as DJ Psychiatre, Djibouti, Dan Corco, David Bulay, Djacuzzi, and others.

'Chihiro' and 'A lil' anxious' were both on his first ever EP out with Midtownhouse and have been doing very good on spotify, about 2.2 million streams together. 'Chihiro' was premiered on @EELFmusic too.

'Ai Shiteru' was released on our Essential Mates VA a few months back and has been doing good on spotify and soundcloud too! (almost 500k on spotify and almost 18k on sc)

'J'sais pour qui j'vote' is an unreleased track of TOMATOSLICE, that will probably be released at the end of summer, don't have any labels for it since the sample used in it is from a french comic group called Palmashow.

The last track is a collab with Airplanemode and is also unreleased. Which release is planned to the beginning of summer.

'20$ Pill' was a single released on Midtown House too, but '1936', 'Deep forest' and 'Nevermind' are all his self released.

Newcomers XO-5 and Cyberian Relic emerge from the Russian cities of Ivanovo and Nadym with a hot mix of Lo-Fi House and Leftfield Ambient, alongside touches of Disco and Phonk, to form an understated Rave Sound that works just as easily fucked up and glued to Mario Cart YouTubee-esque visitations of dance music as it does renegade funk siren beckoning a unseen & unknown Eastern bloc TikTok generation onto their home bassment dancefloors. 

From the distorted thump, windy pads, squelchy TB-303, and muffled vocal of the EP’s joint artist opener “Loveless”, to overdriven bells, trap house chug, and drilling bassline of Cyberian Relic solo effort “Fading”, with its introspective lead line reminiscent of Closer Musik’s seminal 2002 cut “Maria” - fyi a compliment of the highest order (in this humble writers opinion anyway!) Back to the artist combo and 135BPM clanging onslaught of “Night Caprise” - a thrilling crank of full frontal house (albeit on the harder edge) with rubbery bassline and looping vocal giving way to massive breakbeat breakdowns and sure to have skulls moving out of their usual back of the crowd nodding orbits into hearty headbang territory. EP ender “I Was Never Around” finds XO-5 on their own rounding out the selection in grand fashion: all big chords and big emotions. A percussive belting. Tweaked out vocals, and white noise house beats. Wherever they reside, we love to discover a duo of artists pushing their personal boundaries, upping each others ante’s and creating techno magic from locations often overlooked in our New World Order. In a time and space that has replaced all reality and meaning with symbols and signs, and where human experience is a simulation of reality, we are thrilled to receive these coded transmissions coming deep from the underground of this simulacrum. Far from Loveless.

Meta house (also known as power house, kind of ghetto house, directly spawned as a sub genre of outsider house) is a genre of electronic house music combining elements of techno, electro and deep house music with bassline patterns saturated of groovy hats. Also artists originally embracing distorting or aggressive lofi techniques rather than the cleanliness of mainstream EDM genres and deep house. Power house was originally inspired by combination of rap acapellas with deep house pads. Mostly present on the SoundCloud platform since 2018 on channels like L.I.E.S., Lobster Theremin, RAIDERS, Filth Inc., Welofi, MOSOBLELECTRO, clipp.art, ORGAN BOYS CLUB, УРБАН, childsplay, urwaxx. This music is characterized by repeated vocals or acapellas from old school rap tapes and samples from lately-1990s hip hop, often combining them with elements of acid sounding and strong kick.
