Acroplane Recordings is celebrating its 18th birthday. To mark this milestone, we’ve put together a Various Artists compilation named XVIII, featuring a collection of tracks from label regulars and artists we’ve been digging that we feel gives a good portrayal of the state of the label at this stage.

All profits from the first year of sales will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

We’ve set a minimum purchase price of £5, but we encourage you to pay as much as you can afford.

EN: It's amazing how a soulless and cold rhythm computer, which is designed to create rhythms, became the beginning of a new era in electronic music.
The TR-909 fascinated people with its sound, and soon they began to unite around it to create something new. Thanks to experiments with programming, it was possible to create patterns that laid the foundations for future musical styles. Thus began a revolution in the world of dance music.
The Roland TR-909 became a symbol of this revolution, personifying rave culture. Its sounds continue to inspire generations of musicians and listeners, reminding us that this kind of music is born when man and machine meet.
Our new compilation includes 18 tracks in different styles that demonstrate the endless potential of this drum machine.
