Faro grew up on her Dad’s collection of R&B and Soul, and started getting into electronic music in her early teens. Soulful sounds continue to always be the key ingredient in her musical selection, often combining elements of 90’s House, Jazzy Deep House, Broken Beat, Disco, Garage and beyond. Often praised for her warm and positive energy on and off the decks, she has a strong ability to read a crowd and play a diverse range of music whilst also staying true to her style. The selector has been honing her craft on the decks for 5 years, however has recently delved more into production with a debut EP on the way.

Wemoto Radio welcomes Intr0beatz!

For some the groove cannot be learned or given; It is an inherent and intuitive part of their soul. Intr0beatz, aka Reykjavik native Arsaell Thor Ingvason, whole life has been about the groove. From his earliest years delving into his father’s musical collecting and compositions, he first came to prominence as Intr0beatz back in the late ‘90s first as a turntablist, then as the beat producers behind the seminal 2000s Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores.
But Ingvason is not one who is comfortable keeping still in his quest for deep sounds and immersive beats. Delving into his musical past, as well as opening up his horizons, he released Half Time in 2011 on Möller Records. A heady mix pot of chill out, deep house, funk, and hip hop, it marked not only a maturity in Ingvason’s production but hinted at several new directions away from his hip-hop status.
Since Half Time, Ingvason has been delving ever deeper into house music, over the last few years releasing a slew of 12”s and EPs on various deep house labels such as Dark Energy, Something Else, and Closer To Truth. Today, Intr0beatz has become a major fulcrum in Iceland’s recent house music revival both as a member of the BLOKK house music collective as well as playing and DJing in Europe and Japan.

Hailing from the coastal Swedish city Malmö, it's no surprise he's a master of the good feels, a purveyor of funk, and a scientist in the realm of disco. Manuel Darquart is a DJ and producer duo based between London and Auckland, currently run by Louis Anderson-Rich. Having already made a huge impact in a very short space of time on the electronic music scene, following releases for Coastal Haze, WOLF Music and Infinite Pleasure, they now have a new EP coming out on Slam City Jams. Drawing influence from classic Italian house labels such as Irma, Antima and Palmares, they have been putting their own twist and interpretation on the regular house track by joining the dots between yesterday’s golden era classics and today’s club bangers. We got a chance to ask them some questions about their workflow, how they'd describe their own music and what the future holds.

We proudly present the 18th edition of Wemoto Radio featuring Justin Jay. Launching his music career from his freshman dorm room, the Los Angeles-based producer/DJ, Justin Jay, has already seen success that extends well beyond his years, but he is surely not resting on any laurels as he further refines his expertise as a true artist. As the youngest member of the dirtybird family, Justin has seen support by the likes of Claude VonStroke, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Tiga, and George Fitzgerald, among many others, while also being recognized as a “Future Star” by trusted tastemakers, such as Pete Tong, and fans alike. ST-ahler aims to spread joy through creating spacy and floating disco soundscapes. Moving from Singapore to Berlin in 2014 “cosmos-politan” ST-ahler discovered the decks in an escalated night of spaceships and zero gravity. Shortly after he started playing DJ sets at intimate events, house parties and various smaller venues, trying to make hoofers hover. His melodic house sets are appreciated for their danceable, yet wobbly and deep sounds infused with tasteful influences from the lively 80s to solid indie dance tunes, covering wide electronic frequency terrains.

We proudly present the 21st edition of Wemoto Radio featuring Rollover DJs. Rollover DJs are the founders and resident DJs of the popular namesake party in Milan. The duo began their career playing at small clubs and private parties linked to the fashion scene, near and along the hip canals area of Milan. From word-of- mouth amongst the in-crowd, their parties gained popularity fast, and in the meantime the duo’s music also evolved, creating a unique dark disco/house mix with roots firmly in ‘70s funk, New Wave and Afrobeat.

Jeremy Reinhard is a DJ and producer from Cologne. At the age of 25 he started his DJ career with his very own party ‘Vogelfrei’ at the legendary Club, Subway. Rapidly becoming a part of the scene and playing in several clubs, he also gained a residency spot at Reineke Fuchs, one of Cologne‘s finest clubs. In 2018 he co-founded his own label Lekker Records with his friend Niels Freidel in order to support both the music of his friends and other talents around him. Lekker Records are already 10 releases in with many more yet to come…
For anyone that has seen Jeremy performing behind the decks, they won’t have failed to notice the passion and vigour with which he controls the crowd. From jazzy chords with rolling basslines, and switching effortlessly between Disco to Dub, Jeremy’s essence truly is House music.

Fresh off the back of their very well received debut album, the Munich-based duo is back on Permanent Vacation to kick off 2023 with their „Eleganza“ EP. Once again, the guys do what they do best: timeless house music in distinctive Rhode & Brown style.  In the past ten years Rhode & Brown established themselves as one of the most reliable house producers around with rock solid releases on Permanent Vacation, Shall Not Fade, Toy Tonics, Public Possession or their own Slam City Jams imprint. As well as becoming a household name in the DJ world, sharing the booth with the likes of Palms Trax, Dam Swindle, Jamie Tiller or Octo Octa - spreading their infectious "Dancing Deejays" vibes around the globe. Rhode & Brown’s productions and DJ sets showcase their open minded approach to music and a passion for the nuances between genres - „We find inspiration in all corners of our record collection. That means we are as much influenced by disco or 80s synth-pop as by house and techno of the last decades or the latest viral trap hit on Spotify“, the guys say. Expect to hear full on house bangers next to disco, obscure new wave, street soul or ambient - the latter two most likely in their monthly Slam City FM show on Munich based community radio “Radio 80000”.

With over 14 years of experience Soni Ceron has become one of the most recognized djs in the underground electronic music scene in Mexico.
When she moved to Mexico City she started to earn a prominent position in the underground scene, performing at various respected parties, festivals and underground clubs in the city, as well as in the United States playing at places like The lot Radio, Output in New York, The Standard Rooftop in LA, Winter Music Festival in Miami among others, sharing dj both with acclaimed international artists.
All this has led her to represent México in the international music scene as the first Mexican woman to perform on Boiler Room.
The following years she launched her first EP with Concret called Borders and became part of the interactive live act Concret/XYZ with the Italian producer Mateo Q-pha and Mexican visual artist Error 1322.
Currently she is resident dj and part of Galaxie Nites, one of the most prominent house parties in México.

Benjamin Fröhlich has struck many chords in the arena of electronic music over the past years: as a DJ, label owner and producer.
He is the co-founder of Permanent Vacation – one of the strongest running labels that has delivered genre-defining hits over the past decade. As such Benjamin Fröhlich has worked together with the household names of the international electronic dance scene. Artists on Permanent Vacation’s roster include Massimiliano Pagliara, Perel, John Talabot, Todd Terje, Mano Le Tough,Chloe, Red Axes, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Pional and many more.
On top of his dedication to explore and feature rising as well as accomplished artists, Benjamin Fröhlich himself has emerged as a producer of vibrant tracks that are testament to his versatile and compelling approach to club music. His own productions and remixes are very well received by DJs and clubbers alike and got played all around the globe.
Starting out as a record shop owner in his hometown Munich (prior to his PV label work), Benjamin Fröhlich has developed an uplifting style in his DJ sets, which fuses House, Disco and Cosmic into hypnotic and enthusiastic nights. Described as an « artist to follow » in 2023 according to French electronic media, Dylan Dylan signed in 2022 on the English label Shall Not Fade, on which she released her first album, "Euphoria". Breaks, house, techno, acid loops… with her various releases and exciting DJ sets, she has been rising to the top of the pile of new French talents.

Mystigrix is a French-German DJ and producer who is renowned for his pulse-driving performances on dancefloors across the nation. With a strong reputation for going the extra mile, his genre-defying sound and energetic approach to DJing has gained momentum and attention, amongst fans of electronic music.
Rooted on the hard side of house music, Mystigrix's productions are driven by percussive rhythms and heavy beats, incorporating elements of acid, electro, and techno. His driving sound has earned him recognition on prominent labels such as Bar25, Monki's &Friends, and Thirty Years Records, solidifying his reputation as an in-demand artist.

If Marie is not in the booth spinning records, you will more than likely find her on the dancefloor.
Though highly respected by her peers for her vinyl-only mixing style and impeccable selections, she's a fan first and a club kid at heart, which seems to be a major reason for her ability to immediately connect with all different crowds in various settings. As a DJ, Marie Lung is known for her dynamic and engaging sets, which seamlessly blend together different styles of house music. Her performances have taken her to some of the most prestigious festivals, including Fusion, Garbicz or Nachtiville and clubs like Frankfurt's Robert Johnson, Hamburg's Pudel and Berlin's Heideglühen, to name just a few. Having worked on beat making and production for quite a while now, she has just signed her first 12" Vinyl EP "Ivy Blues" to Manchester based label Forever Dreaming.
Despite her growing success, Marie remains grounded and focused on her art, constantly pushing herself to evolve and experiment with new sounds and techniques. With her unique style and infectious energy, Marie Lung is definitely an artist to keep an eye out for.

Jacques is a DJ and producer from the Washington, D.C. are​a​ who lives and works in Brooklyn. He runs Let's Play House, a roving house, disco, and techno party as well as a​n imprint​ of the same persuasion, with friend and partner, Nik Mercer. He owns three plants, a rotary mixer, thousands of records, and a similar number of T-shirts. ​ Despite working within the confines of a different genre, Dischord Records is still probably his favorite label.​

For our first episode of Wemoto Radio, we speak with him about his introduction into producing music and his approach with using samples to create his distinctive mixture of deep, soulful house music.

Glad to have Istanbul-based beat producer Ozoyo for our Wemoto Radio episode 003. The 28-year-old was born in Turkey but lived in Germany with his family for almost ten years during his youth. He has moved back in his home country a decade ago and lives in Istanbul as a musician. 

For our third episode of Wemoto Radio, we sat down for a brief conversation and chatted with him about living in Istanbul, his inspiration for his current album “Motel Lazy” and his dream job as a kid.

House music has always been made from the heart and for the floor. Whilst Loure's music adheres to this hackneyed creed, it exists beyond simply the confines of one genre. His jazz infused, disco influenced cuts have found homes on labels such as Delicieuse Musique, 13th Hour Recordings & Slothboogie Jamz. 

An oscillating live performer, Loure can be found in the middle of a flurry of hardware for his solo live show, behind the platters for his DJ sets or conducting a full live band setup that is riddled with horns, guitars, keys and infectious improvisation.

Wemoto Radio welcomes Rachael!

Rachael Williams lives and breathes night life. Whether it’s in her day job as a booker for the cult London rave-cave Rye Wax, as a promoter, a DJ or just a general party instigator, she has spent well over a decade at the coal face of the electronic music scene. As a gigging DJ she plays regularly up and down the country and even runs workshops for aspiring selectors. From the tiny backroom of a pub to the colossal rave complex of Printworks, Rachael always brings the same spirit and energy to the party.
 
Her energetic style covers many bases; from disco to techno via house and more obscure cuts but for this edition of Wemoto Radio she dug deep into her vaults to serve up a mix of Italo goodness that’s very close to her heart.

Ricky Razu is one of Belgium's new breed of rising house producers who come from a vast background of jazz, boogie, hip-hop and disco and through the amalgamation of these various styles, he is quickly making name for himself.

Ricky's swing is quite unique, he has been putting his own twist and interpretation on the regular house track by joining the dots between yesterday’s golden era classics and today’s club bangers. As one of the Darker Than Wax’s mainstays, he has also built up a solid presence behind the decks, becoming a regular player in the Belgian and international house scene.

Johannes Albert and Iron Curtis have been leading the charge at the deeper end of the German and global electronic music scene for some time now. Longterm friends, collaborators and innovators, the duo have worked together many times before, and are ready to drop their second long player, Moon II, which comes out on Frank Music in mid-June. The album is a rhythmic tour de force that embarks on a personal journey through the hallowed past of electronic music, bringing these sounds lovingly into the 21st Century and beyond. So, with the new record on the way, we were very excited to welcome them to the Wemoto stable with this excellent mix and interview.

Wemoto Radio welcomes Tom Jarmey!

Having already made a huge impact in a very short space of time on the electronic music scene, following releases for 13th Hour Recordings, Shadow City and R.A.N.D, he recently released his debut long player “Amber Glass“ on Lobster Theremin’s Distant Horizons where he seamlessly blends breathtaking soundscapes, luscious vocals and soaring synth hooks. And with more releases in the pipeline and mixes in circulation for a host of channels, Tom is one to watch.   

His mix is a masterful one hour recording packed with all things from house and techno, sprinkled with some of his favourite 90’s ravey break tunes, mixed to perfection at home using nothing more than a pair of CDJ’s and a mixer. Be sure to check out the interview as well. Enjoy!

Wemoto Radio welcomes Carlo & Black Loops!

With releases on Shall Not Fade, Freerange, Pets Recordings and Toy Tonics to name just a few, Riccardo Paffetti aka Black Loops has built a stellar reputation as one of house music’s most consistent and impressive names since making his production debut back in 2013. A skillful hand both within the studio and behind the decks, the Italian’s slick blend of deep and soulful house music takes cues and inspiration from funk, disco and beyond, with his latest batch of productions coming in the form of his ‘Homesick’ EP on Aterral this December, featuring the Spanish producer and Aterral’s label head Carlo. 

Over the last years, Carlo stepped up as a connoisseur of all things House with a bunch of releases on much respected labels like Classic, Suol or his latest ‘Speak Like A Child’ EP on Purism - as a versatile DJ/producer, but also as man of affairs offside the studio and the DJ booth. In 2020, the Berlin based Watergate and Ipse resident started his new imprint Aterral Records, referring to the blistering hot airstream in Málaga, his hometown.

By his own admission, it was about time for him to pay tribute to that city and therefore send some blistering hot soundstreams via the first Aterral oeuvre onto all House-loving dance floors. Ringing in all things to come is the man himself with the best possible three track kick-off.

Playing in clubs and at many festivals around the world, it’s obvious to say that these two fine gentlemen are one of the best in their game right now.

Wemoto Radio welcomes Kassian!

Combining influences in jazz, soul, broken beat and hip hop…. 
Kassian is an exploration in house and electronica from a duo set on taking their own direction in club music.

Formed of Joe Danvers and Warren Cummings, the project spawned from a chance meeting at a party in Peckham London organised by a mutual contact. With Dancers background cutting his teeth in the Bristol club scene and Warren having collaborated with many of Londons eminent soul and house artists, their comparable interests lead them to their first studio session together at London’s legendary studio ´The Premises`.

Their first demos caught the attention of Dam Swindle who signed and released their debut EP ´The Premise` on their own imprint Heist Recordings. The pair have since pushed their sound forward and began a lasting relationship with legendary London record label and store Phonica Records, joining a esteemed selection of artists including Peggy Gou and Midland who have released multiple EP’s on the Phonica White imprint. In summer 2019 Kassian self-released their ‘Kassian Versions’ series, a vinyl only edits label which placed at no. 6 in Phonica’s Top-10 Singles of 2019 with multiple represses since. With follow up records on Phonica and Heist Recordings and a stunning remix for SG Lewis, to name a few highlights in 2020, they will join the Shall Not Fade family with the ´Crush` EP in January.
