Wendy W overcame many early losses and  turned them into songs like 'Sorry', 'chameleon  child', "Punker Girl" and 'Sheep' on her groundbreaking 1993 Song cassette "Chameleon Child".  She also released a song collection called Pincushion in 1997, and "Punker Girl",as well as "Tomboy" and many other cassettes, before reaching the age of 25. 

Her searing, raw songs, delivered in a  sometimes-raw, beautifully piercing, mezzo-soprano, 7-octave voice was influential in the alternative female musician movement of the 1990's .

She has been the host of Night Owls radio on blogtalkradio.com since 2008.
