When Turbo A&R sign a new artist, take note. The Montreal label that broke @Gesaffelstein , @dukedumont , @azariandiii , and even @chromeo have a proven track record for discovering the next big thing in electronic music. This time around it’s 22 year old Ferdous Dehzad, from a small town outside Eindhoven.

The four-track debut showcases the young DJ’s versatility and production prowess. Title track ‘Acid Habits’ sounds like golden-era M_nus, you can just see this wrecking Watergate on a great night. ‘End to End’ odes to @danielavery with marked precision, building and releasing with floor-filling skill. ‘I Believe U’ is a cool Euro-take on groovy Chicago house, while the final cut ‘Merino’ surprises with what is arguably the most potent track of all, a devastating roller of a track that has been punctuating some of @tiga ’s biggest sets this year. Massive!

Complimenting the original recording of 'Lucky' is a remix from the pioneering Matthew Dear in his Audion guise, whose celebrated talent for bridging esoteric elements of techno, pop and dub lends itself perfectly to exploring the detailed and subtle layers of Ghost Culture’s unique vision. These guys are working for 25 years together meeting up weekly in the studio to try new things. They say themselves that it is their longest and most special collaboration. They use mainly hardware with an old school mind set that comes more from the early 80s NYC hip hop culture than anything else. Early pioneers misusing gear and making the best of their limitations. Their newest release “Hysteresis“ comes along strongly functional for the club.

Andre VII - La Merca

Straight out of coastal Bordeaux, Laroze is back on Flux with another
collection of floor-focussed cuts. Joining him on remix duties this time is fellow Frenchman Kosme. 

Following on from FLUX002, Laroze’s style is typically packed with energy and verve, using the classic US house framework as a launch-pad to bring his sound to contemporary dance-floors across Europe.

The B-side, Kosme’s remix of You Better Give Up (Romy’s Floor Version) flips the original completely on its head, where glistening synth undulations drive the track forward with newly defined purpose. An extended break-down sees Kosme drop in nostalgic break-beats and a sombre string arrangement, before rolling back in. 

FLUX003 lands Spring 2018, 180 gram limited edition vinyl (no digital)with cover artwork from Laura Zhang.
