The live recording from Noosa Laneway Party starting in the afternoon and into the evening with a b2b from the headliner Jordan Brando who joined the boys at twilight.

Unfortunately the mix dropped halfway through UNTOLD's set & a few times during Jordan Brando's headline set due to a rowdy crowd tripping the cable, so we won't be able to bring you their full sets.

It's been a while between drinks. With our label boss now based in Sydney, we have finally got to catch up with our man Kocho and so it's fitting to have our next release a follow up from the groove master to start off a string of releases coming into the new year.

Introducing WOH005 'Run'

This catchy roller has everything in it, one we knew could be played early, late and perfect for the day parties in Summer. 'Run' has the Kocho signature bassline and vocal chops with a warm feeling from start to finish.

To top it off the B-side warehouse mix brings a fast acid-like dancefloor thumper with all the bells and whistles.

Jackson Swaby - Every Single Time
Where do we start with Jackson Swaby. We first met this talented producer via Soundcloud and started sharing music online. Four years later we are happy to be releasing his music on the label. Jackson is pushing the boundaries in his unique direction, and it's getting noticed. He's a regular on BBC Sounds and Michael Bibi recently played his Kanye West remix. 'Every Single Time' is a dark club monster with bass-heavy elements, quirky percs and unique sounds making it one to bring out for the afters, you won't be disappointed.

Kreno - Milkshake
Kreno is one half of Sydney crew ELEV8. Along with Harrison these boys are known for selecting the best minimal tech going around and hosting late-night antics. Kreno has cemented himself as one to watch with appearances at SASH and KODE to name a few. 'Milkshake' is Kreno's debut release and we're stoked to have him on the label. Give this one time to breathe and relish the chunky bassline that holds you to the end.

Svarke - Get Down To The Beat
The unknown Svarke hails from Zürich, Switzerland. We don't know much about the bloke but he started sending us music and we took the bait. 'Get Down To The Beat' is a peak time dancefloor starter with the grooviest catchy bassline and vocal. It's already been road-tested by the man himself and from all reports, it works a treat. Think Chris Stussy day party vibes, this one will make you move!

Beandip - Cloudy Skies
Beandip holds the fort up in Northern NSW and is known for curating wild parties under Camp Paprika and running his own label After Midnight Sounds. When he's not in the studio you will find him selecting for Conspiracy, SASH, We Love, and Need2Freak. We love our rollers and 'Cloudy Skies' does the job. Beandip has added some flavour to this one with synths throughout and rasta vocals making it a weapon to throw on the usb.

Fro - Southern Comfort
Fro, a long time WOH resident DJ now hails from Melbourne and has found his niche within the house music community, cementing his sound with influences from countless weekends out and about. 'Southern Comfort' has been a body of work since he moved interstate. This minimal tech slammer isn't going to be left behind, grab a system and wait for the delayed drop, it works and just waiting to be played out. 

Elleyet - Anima
Long time friend Elleyet joins the label with a polished Deep House gem. 'Anima' takes you on a journey from start to finish and puts you in a place of euphoria with tribal elements, clean percussion and dusty references throughout. Originally from Australia, Elleyet now resides in LA and has released tracks on Parrotdice Records, Medium Rare Recordings, Top Shelf Disco and Say Wat Records.

Lyndon Kidd - Step
The Brisbane bass king is back! With a few years off 'Step' is the track that is bringing Lyndon Kidd out of hibernation. We hosted Lyndon Kidd at one of our earliest parties and so it's great to have him on the label. This huge bass-heavy track appeared on our inbox and we knew it would do damage on dance floors in the early hours of the morning. Lyndon Kidd is no stranger to the game with a catalogue of releases on Medium Rare Recordings, House of Hustle, OKNF Records, Motorik and Club Sweat.

Byron Bay’s Aidan Knox joins the label with a large EP! Titled ‘Midnight Jam’ but this is a package deal accompanied with another standout track track ‘Groove Seeker’. This will be Aidan’s first Australian label release even though he has a catalogue of releases on well established labels globally such as Rawsome Recordings and Maison Label.

Aidan Knox’s music is well crafted and suited to bop heads from start to finish. Midnight Jam & Groove Seeker incorporate elements of Aidan’s polished signature style with subtle vocal hooks and samples combined with tech leads and a distinguished steezy bass line. The team at We Out Here wanted to be apart of this up and coming artist’s journey, so we’ve locked in two tracks that nestle right in to where we are going.

Beandip aka Brad King is a Byron Bay / Northern NSW native where you can find him playing up and down the East Coast of Australia. Recent notable appearances include S.A.S.H supporting Fabe, 5am Sutra Sunrise set supporting Audiojack and owning the stage at Rabbits Eats Lettuce festival. He has released on We Out Here with his debut single 'Cloudy Skies' which is a late night roller found on WOH006, he's part of the family now.
 
Co founder of After Midnight Sounds a record label with huge potential, he has developed a good ear for a good tune and his selections are second to none, digging deep on every occasion.

Our next release comes from Sydney based Kocho, a rising house producer, with some serious talent. 

We have been following Kocho on SoundCloud for quite a while and we are always impressed with his calibre of production, releases and tasteful selections. 

Kocho has a release on minimal/deep tech label Conspiracy Music, plus a huge catalogue of disco/house records on labels such as SHE Recordings (with well known UK Richard Earnshaw on remix duties), Farplane Records (Rasmus Faber / Defected), Epod & Souluxe Record co. He is a resident selector for S. A. S. H and is well respected in Sydney for his live vinyl sets and mixes. 

This second release for us is a perfect follow up from WOH001 'Groove Thang' which touches on disco and r&b roots sampling a timeless generation of music. 

"This EP doesn't follow the normal club mix, intro etc, they're classic house 90's inspired tracks" - Kocho

Kocho - You In My Hut Now (Original Mix)

Perth's Shroom has cemented himself as one to watch, by flying the flag for the minimal/deep tech sound evolving in Aus. He's released a calibre of releases on imprints such as Circa Trax, LVCHLD, Obvious records, David San's Miniline, and Eject Records UK. His recent release 'The Music' is one for everyone and made some organic chart action on Beatport, it's one of our favourites, and the reason we love Shroom. His signature sound always has some groovy flavour and has received support from Luuk van Dijk, Tommy Vercetti, & Jordan Brando to name a few.

The story goes that this EP was originally going to be a single, but when Shroom sent us another demo, we had to sign it, and instantly it became a very tidy package. 

Fascination is groover from start to finish. It has a shimmering synth in the early moments before you are met with the signature lead of the track. This will get stuck in your head, we’ve found ourselves chirping away to it at times. The vocal combined with this catchy lead is a combo to get any minimal/deep-tech lover moving.

Fear of Being Caught is a stomper, which shouldn’t be so much a ‘b side’ this track does a lot of heavy lifting with it’s rolling wonky bass-line. It should be played out the whole way, you will know what we mean when it gets to the five-minute mark, a lot of space is created for a guaranteed bass-stank face. It will do damage on any dance floor given the right moment.

We’re big fans of Shroom so it’s an honour to have him on the label. He’s been busy to finish off 2020 with releases on Selecta & Obvious Records. This EP shows our love for the minimal/deep-tech sound which we hope to bring you more of in the future.
