Next up in our moments series we are very proud to share an amazing recent LIVE set from our label bosses GMJ & Matter at the Morning After presents: Enchanted Garden Homegrown Edition from April 2021! 

This set saw the boys premiering a number of new tunes alongside many live effects & synths in the moment!

Melbourne’s GMJ (Gavin Martin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration.
Already drawn by a respect for each others unique sound, their first meeting soon saw them in the studio crafting the acclaimed “Superposition” EP for Proton music, which was debuted at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2016 and released afterwards to big success, supported by industry heavyweights including Hernan Cattaneo and Cid Inc. This was followed by the “Osmosis / 11 moons” EP in 2017, and the “Interscope / To the Stars” EP in 2018 which further highlighted the pair's distinct and accomplished sound.
A natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow, with remixes for Pete K, Andre Sobota, Juan Deminicis, Nopi, Donny Carr, DJ San & Rudy UK, as well as fellow Aussies Funkform, Pantheon and David Leckenby. 2019 raised the bar higher as the duo joined forces with Funkform for a highly anticipated debut EP for the esteemed Balance Music.
Studio success translated into demand from a constantly growing number of respected festivals and clubs both locally and abroad. A debut performance at Dragon Dreaming Festival 2017 was followed soon after with support gigs for Nick Warren and Dezza, leading towards a fully live performance for Wildwood events, then on to their debut European tour in late 2019, with gigs for Progressive Astronaut in London and Replug Records 10 year anniversary at ADE in Amsterdam.
2020 has seen the conception and constant growth of the pairs “Meanwhile Recordings” imprint, which has opened to high regard throughout the industry, both as a platform for their own signature sounds, and as a home to some of the world’s finest. With many amazing artists and releases on the horizon, Meanwhile is already on the way to establishing itself as a premier force in the world of global deep progressive house.
With constant inspiration raising the heights in reflection, the future is to the stars!

We welcome Greg Thomas a.k.a. Greg Tomaz for the twenty-fifth edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. Born and raised in Kochi, Kerala, he is presently residing in Bangalore. His production can rightly be described as deep with a definite share of the underground. Simple yet consuming soundscapes is what he delivers with his productions and this earned him appearances on prominent labels such as Juicebox Music, Particles, Stellar Fountain, Soundteller, One of A Kind, 3rd Avenue, Stripped Digital, Mistique Digital Records and many others. As a DJ, his sets are uniquely crafted with tracks handpicked to voice his love for quality with distinctness.

Known for his aesthetic sense of music, Greg had the pleasure to share the console with some of the very best in the field like Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Cubicolor, Roger Martinez, Dousk, Kasper Koman, Eli Nissan, Tim Engelhardt, Darin Epsilon, Brian Cid, Ziger and many more. His work has found airplay on Frisky Radio, Digitally Imported and Afterhours FM, with Frisky Radio spotlighting him as their ‘Artist of the week’. With his unceasing thirst for better music, he is one artist whose work is a musical revelation in itself.

We dug deeper into his true territory, here's what he said - "Hip Hop and the whole enigma behind being a good turntablist got me into the music scene. But, like everything, my preference evolved over time with Sasha & John Digweed being the primary influences. I started DJ'ing back in 2003. With time, opportunities came my way and I've built myself starting with Hip hop beats production back in 2008, but I have been producing Progressive House since 2012 and there has been no looking back. 

I always try to touch a wide range of deeper, organic and melodic shades from Progressive House & Techno. I like storytelling and that's how I build my mixes or even my tracks. John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Airwave, Moshic and Davi have been definite role models throughout my journey. Praveen Achary is a major influence for all the work he has done for the scene in India and with his Label- Juicebox Music."

‘EL1AX’ is the techno/progressive moniker of Elias Attumally, under which he produces deep progressive house, melodic techno and electronica. Hailing from Kerala (IN), Elias drew inspiration from legendary trance acts such as Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold during his formative years as a music producer. In early 2010s, as a self-taught music producer, Elias used to produce trance under the alias ‘Juvelis’ with which he got signed to the trance/progressive house imprint Intricate Records (Russia) in 2014 before taking a break from music.

After a 6-year hiatus, in 2020 Elias launched his new moniker 'EL1AX' having acquired a new love for the deeper side of electronic music. Drawing inspiration from techno/progressive maestros such as Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Paul Kalkbrenner and Patrice Baumel (to name a few) Elias has carved his own unique sound that combines intricate percussive grooves with driving basslines and trippy organic elements.

Since the launch of 'EL1AX', Elias has signed with some of the finest record labels in the deep progressive house / melodic techno scene namely - Pure Progressive (2022), Juicebox Music (2021), Soundteller Records (2021, 2022) and Laika Sounds (2022). His productions have received support & feedback from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Solarstone, GMJ, Forerunners, Enamour, Wassu, Ziger, Praveen Achary and Savvas to name a few. His debut EP 'Rainier' also peaked at #15 on Beatport's Progressive House Releases chart. As a DJ, Elias has performed as an opening act for Solarstone, Jody Wisternoff, Fatum, WASSU and Öona Dahl in Seattle, USA.
