Der Zyklus ist nun fertiggestellt. "In progress" bezieht sich also darauf, dass immer noch keine reelle Singstimme zugemischt werden kann.
Den Gedichten sind zur besseren Orientierung die Nummern voran gesetzt, ich habe sie als Kommentare der Timeline zugefügt.
Bedauerlicherweise sind nicht alle Möglichkeiten zeitgemäßer Gesangstechnik simulierbar: Rauhe Stimme, Sprechgesang, gesprochen - alles das steht in der Partitur, wirkt sich aber nur skizzenhaft auf das Klangbild aus.
Seit dem letzten Upload sind die restlichen Texte hinzugekommen, auch wurde der Arbeitstitel "10 Lieder für Alt und Kammerorchester" durch den nun gültigen ersetzt.
Die Gedichte 8 (Wege die zu Toren führen) und 9 (Das Einmaleins des Lebens) habe ich wegen ihrer größeren Länge in je drei Teilen eingefügt.

Starting on an early dancahall stylee known as Sleng Teng, I recalled a haunting tune of the same era I had encountered during my first travel to Jamaica, "Hard Times",by the "7th Extension Band". I quote a part of the tune at exposed place in this track, both harmonies, and melody.
Sorr for the confusion caused: I always found something dissatisfying in the mix - until now. This is now one positively final version.
Since my comments on the quotations seem not to be kept by the site, I will place them here:
1:30 - first, the harmonies to "Hard Times".
1:45 - here, from the melody. In the original, the text says, "and if you try to make it in life / there will be someone to fight you down..."

My first collaboration with Zimbabwean Artist Wirirano "Killum" Chitoro.
The song basics are his work, so is the lead vocal, and the mbira playing; the rhythms are made according to best Zimbabwean Pop tradition, the arrangement and the mix is mine.
Not to forget the backing vocals, sung by charming Mitcheel.

The original tune Көңіл толқыны (Könil tolkyny) being a work of  Seken Turysbekov, who is according to my knowledge still alive, I beg him for excuses for what is to follow here. As for you, dear listener, you might expect that I had my own harmonies in mind, sometimes. Still I hope you like it.

amapiano is a genre invented in South Africa by some musicians around the DJ Sha Sha who came from Zimbabwe to South Africa.
In this track I have tried to "bring back amapiano to the country where it might have come from.
I liked those wicked rhythms and that cool slightly jazzy nonchalance...

The original tune of the same name is a composition of the great qobyzshi Raushan Orazbaeva, and represents a joqtau, a death lament to honor the memory of the opposition politician Altynbek Sarsenbayev, found murdered in February 2006 in the mountains near Almaty. Raushan kindly and generously gave me permission to use her haunting tune in my orchestra suite Qazaqstanda, a collection of arranged melodies from Qazaqstan.

Audio processing in 2 steps, then Audio-to-MIDI conversion, assigning different virtual instruments to the MIDI files.
There are 3 possible ways of converting Audio to MIDI. First, you only have note pitch well tempered, at the sound's beginning, sesond, including the pitch changes (wheel), thrid, also include loudness changes (envelope.) So I had 3 times 4 tracks to work with. I stretched the 3 sents of MIDI data (note length 1: 133 %, set 2: 100 % set 3: 80%. Then I shifted the shorter versions so they begin later.
