„Bojkowski głos Bieszczadu” to debiutancka płyta zespołu z materiałem muzycznym nagrodzonym na XXX Mikołajkach Folkowych (2020) oraz Festiwalu Muzyki Folkowej Polskiego Radia „Nowa Tradycja” (2021). Na płycie znalazło się sześć utworów pochodzących z terenu Bojkowszczyzny (Bieszczady Zachodnie i Wschodnie). Pieśni te pochodzą ze zbiorów pieśni zapisanych przez etnografów i folklorystów i są muzycznym obrazem świata, który w granicach Polski przestał istnieć wraz z powojennymi wysiedleniami autochtonicznej ludności zwanej Bojkami. Choć Wernyhora czerpie z tradycyjnego repertuaru pieśni z pogranicza polsko-ukraińskiego to jednak podchodzi do nich w sposób niepowtarzalny i wyjątkowy. Na płycie znalazły się przykłady pieśni obrzędowych związanych z cyklem rocznym i obrzędowością rodzinną. Dopełnieniem pieśni są także nagrania pejzażu dźwiękowego zrealizowane latem 2021 w Karpatach Wschodnich w dolinach rzek Uż i Stryj.

Toloka (tłoka in Polish) is an old word which used in the past to describe neighbourly and free help in the event of an emergency, when, for example, it was necessary to quickly finish haymaking or build a house. At the end of the toloka work, the farmer who enlisted the help of his neighbours would offer them a meal, which would often turn into a joyful party filled with singing.
At this special time, when our neighbours in Ukraine are in the midst of a bloody war, we would like our “Toloka” to show the beauty of songs from the Boiko, Lemko, Transcarpathia, and Podolia regions
in the hopeful anticipation of a common, neighbourly meeting and singing.
Toloka (pol. tłoka) to stare słowo, którym w przeszłości określano sąsiedzką i bezpłatną pomoc w razie nagłej potrzeby, gdy np. należało szybko skończyć sianokosy, albo zbudować dom. Na koniec prac związanych z toloką, gospodarz, skrzykujący do pomocy sąsiadów, oferował im posiłek, który nierzadko zamieniał się w radosną, wspólną zabawę wypełnioną śpiewem. W tym szczególnym czasie, gdy u naszych sąsiadów w Ukrainie trwa krwawa wojna chcielibyśmy
by nasza „Toloka” ukazywała piękno pieśni z Bojkowszczyzny, Łemkowszczyzny, Zakarpacia i Podola w pełnym nadziei oczekiwaniu na wspólne, sąsiedzkie spotkanie i śpiew.
Толока (польською tłoka) — старовинне слово, яким у минулому позначали сусідську та безкоштовну допомогу у разі надзвичайної ситуації, коли, наприклад, треба було швидко закінчити сінокіс або
побудувати хату. Наприкінці роботи, пов’язаної з толокою, господар, що покликав сусідів на допомогу, пропонував їм трапезу, яка часто перетворювалася на радісні, спільні веселощі, наповнені співом. У цей особливий час, коли у наших сусідів в Україні йде кривава війна, хочеться, щоб наша «Толока»
показала красу пісень Бойківщини, Лемківщини, Закарпаття та Поділля, сподіваючись на спільну сусідську зустріч і спів.

Wernyhora is a world music/folk band from Sanok, winner of
the 1st Prize of the Folk Music Contest at the Festival "Nowa Tradycja"
(2021), as well as the Main Prize and the Audience Award of the Festival
"Mikołajki Folkowe"(2020). In their current musical search, the band
mainly focuses on the traditions of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland,
especially the music of the inhabitants of the Carpathians (from the
Lemko region to the Hutsul region).
In 2021, Wernyhora had the opportunity to present their interpretation
of Boyko's music at the most important folk and world music festivals in
Poland, including the EtnoKraków Rozstaje festival, Ethno Port in
Poznań, the Real Musicians Tournament in Szczecin or the "Music
Enchanted in Wood" Festival. At over 20 concerts in 2021, the music of
the Sanok band was enthusiastically received by the audience amazed by
the beauty of instrumental arrangements and the sensitivity of the
Wernyhora’s vocalist.
At the end of 2021, the band released their debut album "Boyko Voice of
the Bieszczady" which included six Boyko songs in perfect arrangements
showing the musical artistry of three Sanok musicians. Thanks to the
artistic quality of the songs recorded on the disc, the album enjoys the
media patronage of the Second Program of the Polish Radio and the
Radio Centre of Folk Culture and the Folk Magazine.
Daria Kosiek - singer with a unique voice, holder of a scholarship from
the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Thanks to her
exceptional vocal skills, she received a special Czesław Niemen Award as
part of the New Tradition Festival (2021), as well as at festivals Kropa and
Sabałowe Bajania (2019). Apart from Wernyhora, Daria also sings in the
women's band Widymo and the Lirofonia project.
Anna Oklejewicz - multi-instrumentalist, loves playing string
instruments. She plays especially in pagan metal and dark folk projects.
In Wernyhora, she is responsible for string instruments, including vielle
and viola da gamba.
Maciej Harna - plays on the hudry-gurdy  and exceptional arranger of Wernyhora, musicologist, educator, creator (founder and composer) of the multiinstrumental Orkiestra Jednej Góry Matragony, also cooperating with
KSU, Lirofonia and Karpaton (Slovakia) ensembles. A scholarship holder
of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
