Taking influences from West Coast Glitch styles, Hip Hop, Future Bass and deep Dubstep, Cycles is all about human ritual. It’s about staying grounded, renewal, and the importance of coming together to create. Merging crunked out hip hop with vocals from Vancouver’s diversely talented beat boxer, MC, producer and DJ, Shamik in ‘Switch the Tip’ and focusing on melodically sequenced melodies and wide evolving pads laid over a fat 808 in collaboration with Calgary’s classical pianist, Alliekat on ‘Rooftop Nocturne’, Jnana sets course with a diverse sound that remains distinctly his own. The third track of the EP ‘Country Crunk‘ blends tight guitar riffs with high-energy basslines and spacey resampled harmonicas. Never losing sight of quality, Cycles stays true to Jnana’s form with technical bass edits, clean, spacious mixes and crisp hard hitting percussion.

After winning Minnesota's "Stardust" remix competition last year, Perkulat0r has worked his way into the Gravitas Recordings family. The producer out of BC netted himself a full-fledged release of Transcension, his debut album, slated for a March 25th drop date. Full of smooth, sexy glitch-hop, the Canadian artist has crafted a sound that balances contemporary production techniques with a strong footing in a traditional glitch-hop aesthetic. The result is a modern twist on a fundamentally strong bass music foundation. Today's premiere is a collab with young Arkansan WET PAiNT, who has enjoyed great success in a relatively short career, as well. Seductive and whimsical, Perkulat0r's debut release "Transcension", released on Gravitas Recordings, is quite a special conception. As the winner of last year's Minnesota remix contest, this young producer has set the bar high with every deep, textured song he's devised. A tactile atmosphere is created within each track, showcasing an apparent keen ear for synthesis and firm grasp on melody.
