"Between pain and contentment" was a phrase said by a dear brother to me. He had battled cancer for a few years.  He left this world on January 10, 2012.  These lyrics represent what I imagine might have been some of the things going through his mind at the time.  Perhaps others can relate.

This is a little jazz/funk thing.  The lead stuff was done with a semi-hollow and my thumbs, not pick.  I call it blisters because that's what I had when I finished recording the thing.

Born and raised in Texas but a large part of my heart belongs in the UK (by way of my lovely wife).  Father of two wonderful kids.  I'm a one-woman man, happily married since 2002.  

I fell in love with music at an early age, mesmerized by the sounds of drums and electric guitars.  I started on drums and guitar at 12 and picked up bass not long after.  Once I started I never stopped.  I play regularly, every week and play in three different bands.  On my own time, I like to record anything and everything that I am able to in order to capture it and not forget it.  Much of what you hear here is going to be raw and unfinished  bits and pieces of what might become actual songs someday.  Give the tunes time to introduce themselves as some of the tracks seem a little repetitive in the first minute or two but they build around the middle and go different places towards the end sometimes.  I like to experiment with different styles and tones and there is a good mix of rock, blues, jazz, and some other things that I like to dabble in.  I hope you enjoy what you hear and if you like it then please drop me a line.
