Parental Guidance is Civillian's first foyer into the world of mixing live bands who are playing real instruments, a terrifying thought for many DJ's. With the common thread of real, live music - you can still expect Civillian's signature variety with selections ranging from Aretha Franklin covering the everyone's favourite The Band song "The Weight", to Waylon Jenning's penultimate driving tune "Ramblin' Fever".

Heavily inspired by pioneering efforts in that realm like Smalltown DJ's "Camping Mix", and DJ Ali B "Plays the Blues", this recording was going to be no usual undertaking for Civillian. After 2+ years of focused digging, nearly a year of practicing technique, and a 2 week artist residency in a van down by the river for the final recording stage, it is ready for the open air and the open road.

"10 years of Bliss Coast and the journey goes on. Each year has been a monumental effort and my long-term goal to achieve 10 volumes comes to completion with the release of Muse & Marvel. Over the years many fans have told me how much they still love volume 1, Grass & Gospel. Last Night

'Demos From a Broken Soul' is not a polished project- it's a mirror. A closing chapter to the Tales of Love era, this 4-track collection is a raw and unfiltered dive into the inner world of someone searching for more than what life has given them. These demos, over two years old, were never meant to be perfect. They weren't made to impress. They were made to feel.

Instead of weaving through the romantic narrative of my previous EP 'Tales of Love', this EP pulls the curtains back on the artist himself. It's about overthinking, about carrying the weight of the world in silence, and wondering if there's something better waiting beyond this life. Songs like "Skeletons" and "Peak into my Life" might ache, but they're not just sad songs- they're survival songs, created for those moments when solitude feels too loud.

This project is an offering to anyone who's ever felt isolated, misunderstood, or overwhelmed by their own thoughts. Whether you're taking a walk alone, driving directionless, or just sitting with your feelings- this music is a companion.

'Demos from a Broken Soul' is also a declaration: that art deserves to live even when it's imperfect. That voice cracks, missed notes, and emotional spills are all part of the truth. And that truth, when shared, can be healing.
