This is a recording of the related ancestors of the American Appalachian tune, "Billy in the Lowground," beginning with "O Mother What Shall I Do," which is the mother melody of the Bares of Auchtershyre, a Scottish Stratsbey. "The Belles of Tipperary," and "Sailor's Bonnet" are Irish Reels that came later on, which are said to be related.
