For the contributors: To provide all students with the opportunity to volunteer for the Wessex Scene in a number of ways: editing, sub-editing, writing, photographing, designing, drawing and more. To provide support when necessary and to be an enjoyable society to be part of.

For the Union and University: To represent SUSU proudly by maintaining sufficient editorial independence, earnestly seeking the highest quality and keeping the balance between popularity and integrity.
Company Overview
The Wessex Scene is the University of Southampton's online student newspaper and published magazine. The website, wessexscene.co.uk, is updated daily during term-time to provide students with news, features, analysis, opinion and entertainment. The printed publication dates back to 1936 and now takes the form of a free monthly magazine, distributed around the University campuses and Halls of Residence.
