I went to Vegas in October 2021 last year.  I was walking across one of those crosswalks coming out of the Cosmopolitan Hotel,  and I saw this young lady singing one of her original tunes. So I took down all of her Social Media, IG, etc, and discovered she had this song called (RICH) fell in love with this song. So I decided to do a small remix to a song that was already mixed, with no acapella available I added instruments and effects that weren't on the original song.

I did this remix last Sept, then for got about it. I message the original producer famous Dave Hall, who produced this track. I told him I love the old school track, and I wanted to add something too it not much. I only had the two track and added instruments on top of that and played some drums on top of my loops. He heard it, he liked it and said that I could post it, just as long I gave the original  credit to Dawn McClain the artist and of course Dave Hall the producer of this track. I always thought it was a good song. And anybody that know RB knows the name DAVE Hall.

I remixed this song when it  first dropped some years ago. Today, I decided to transfer this song from my other sound cloud account which I might close. I got this acapella  before all of this stem stuff came out. I compressed the vocals, Eq's them, and got them to where I could do this remix, then Mix it inside my home studio setup. I made the drums and vocals ride the track and played some additional sounds on top.

I’ve been rocking with this music thing for years. I had the opportunity to intern at Firehouse Studios in Manhattan and even spent some time at the legendary D&D Recording Studios. Definitely picked up some dope mixing and production techniques from DJ Premier and others along the way.

Throughout my journey in the music business, I’ve met a lot of people and chased opportunities, but never quite got to where I wanted to be. Still, my love for creating, remixing, and making new tracks never faded.

One of my greatest contributions to music? Passing my knowledge down to my son. From an early age, I taught him everything I knew about music production—Logic, mixing, and more. While I could only play a few keys, he took it to another level as a self-taught musician. Our hard work paid off in a big way—he auditioned for Berklee College of Music and is now a Berklee graduate (Music Production and Recording Major), producing his own music, which is now on Spotify, YouTube, and more. Stay on the lookout for him! Yes, most definitely—I’m a proud dad.
