Tru Crime is an independent hip hop artist from Southern California. He is the product of a single parent upbringing and was raised in Pomona California, home of former World Champion Sugar Shane Mosley and hip-hop artist Suga Free. Influenced more by the Vans skate culture than the streets that he was raised on, his music is a hybrid fusion of California lifestyle’s that appeals to people in the urban city areas as well as to those in the suburbs. In 2019, Tru Crime released his debut project titled The Clouds LP which currently has over 100K streams. After the release of The Clouds LP Tru began working with engineer and producer Producer Maine, engineer for the LA Leakers. The Lost in Lust album contains production from multi platinum, grammy nominated producer Wyshmaster Beats and is scheduled for a late Summer/Fall 2020 release. Tru Crime has been described as being similar to artists such as Deante’ Hitchcock, Logic, Jack Harlow, J. Cole, Bas, Mac Miller, Chance the Rapper, YBN Cordae, Kendrick Lamar, Reason and Joyner Lucas.
