Westernsynthetics is a passionate Producer from Sydney, Australia. His debut album May Day Radio displays “sophisticated high-technology electronica to more soulful traditional style dub, carried throughout by powerful, animated drones and drifts,” says BMP Magazine (South Africa). Westernsynthetics draws from a vast pallet of soundscapes and live instrumentation as well as subversive imagery projected through his lyrics. 

Westernsynthetics’ live shows fuse his unique blend of acid, dub, techno and electronic psychedelia. A regular performer at Australian dubstep nights Westernsynthetics has supported heavyweights Distance, Scuba, Caspa, Skream, Benga, Cotti, 2562, Gravious, Tes La Rok, Spherix, Emalkay and Deadbeat. Festival performances include Rainbow Serpent and Peats Ridge Festival, Australia. 
 
In 2011 Westernsynthetics will be showcasing his productions internationally, as he embarks on his first international tour of  Europe, throughout the summer. This tour includes a performance at world renowned Outlook Festival in Croatia 2011. Significantly, this is the first time an Australian Producer has been invited to play the Festival. 
 
In 2009 Westernsynthetics was nominated for ‘Best Instrumental Composition’ category in the Australian Songwriters Association Awards for his debut 12” LP Engine No. 999. Engine No. 999 &amp; his debut album May Day Radio, is released on Sub Continental Dub and distributed internationally by renowned UK imprint Cargo Records.

Westernsynthetics has been releasing records and performing around the world since 2005.
His May Day Radio album was released in 2010 on Sun Continental Dub distributed by Cargo Records UK. Westernsynthetics draws from a vast pallet of soundscapes, field recordings, noise and old instruments over manic polyrhythms often recorded using live drummers.
He recently completed his second album, Pianodrumming written and recorded on an old out of tune piano in Berlin. 

Westernsynthetics live shows fuse his unique blend of acid, dub, techno, jungle & 60's psychedelia. 
In 2011 & 12 he performed at the world renowned soundsystem culture festival Outlook in Croatia. Significantly, Westernsynthetics was the first Australian to perform at Outlook. He has also performed at Pyramid Rock, Big Day Out, Rainbow Serpent, Folk Rhythm & Life, High & Dry and Peats Ridge festivals. He has opened for Scuba, Skream & Benga, Distance, Deadbeat, 2562, Mark Pritchard, Harmonic 313, Afrika Hitech & Tes la Rok among many others.
