Producing a 3 track EP 'Girls', his Original Mix comes through with an audacious sample from Sweet Pussy Pauline, Chicago's late 80s house icon, whose quick-witted vocals over synthy sounds give way to the funkiest of basslines. The dipping and reintroducing of a disco-synth melody alongside bongo sounds within the percussion cultivate a track you can't help but groove to.

The 'Special Mix' lives up to its name and takes the track up a notch, with a hard-hitting, progressive beat that turns spacey through the waves of melodic sounds recognisable from the original. With its surprising keyboard interludes, this floor-stomper is certainly meant for smokey D-floors and laser beams.

'Swales' Late Night Garage Mix' delivers a syncopated drum pattern using simple chords for an uplifting feel before transcending into a smooth musical texture between the piano and sax, complemented by a looping drum which emulates an airy future-garage beat throughout. Just as you begin to envisage the sun setting somewhere, echoed vocals float in and out of the track whilst the piano moves around freely, adding to the Sax's jazzy sound.

Whilst the war in Ukraine continues to unfold we couldn't just sit by and do nothing. With Nowadays we have a platform to help make a difference and take action, so we asked friends, family and label members to contribute to a compilation, of which all profits will be donated to The Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine.

The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children affected by war since 2015. They provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. It helps them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and aids in further development.

We'd like to thank Arno Lemons, Session 4000, Hantrax, Weird Dust, Nathan Boost, Footloose, FBQ, Aymeric and Juicy “The Dj” for all donating an exclusive, original track to this compilation. Panorama Bar resident Paramida has announced her second EP, via her own Love On The Rocks imprint. The ‘Moonrise VII’ EP includes 3 cuts of hands in the air, good time house, F1 tunnel rave and emotional dream house and flaunts her signature take on colourful, trance-inflected visions of the dance floor.

EP opener ‘Sailor Moon House’ merges beautiful, colourful and chaotic energy. An infinity cruise of pure joy, it’s hyper-colour trance clouds break to a shiny new dawn of driving rhythms, acid bass hooks and searching sonar pings. 

"After hours of watching YouTube footage from early 90’s beach raves in Goa, I was inspired to embody this spirit and somehow bring if back,” Paramida says. “I’d spent years telling artists that want to release on LOTR to try and do the same, to soundtrack that moment of ecstasy at 8am as the sun comes, then I realised I should just do it myself. That's essentially why I started making music, to capture that moment and what it means to me. Sailor Moon House is exactly that.”

PREMIERE: Pau Roca feat. John Heaven - Vine Al Club Edit [Must Be On Wax]

The release kicks off with the hypnotic ‘I Do Me’. The track rolls effortlessly into a crescendo of synthetic stabs, panning acid and a throbbing bass fit for Goa. Starting off with a bang, we roll into the breakbeat inflected ‘Kotanyi’. We’re treated to more psychedelic, progressive goodness with a slightly more brooding tone. Subtle keys lighten the track’s final stanza giving it serious sunrise set potential. B1 gives us the colourful ‘Thanks For Calling’. Swirling bleeps and descending acid lines contrast the records balearic sensibilities setting the tone nicely for the Ice Cream side of Semi Delicious’ 13th outing. ‘You Do You’ brings with it broken beats, a top line akin to golden era Italian house and more citrus-y undertones that characterise the record. ‘Shapeshifter’ wraps up the affair with a bang employing an almost speed garage-esque low end below the psychedelic symphony of extraterrestrial sonics dancing above.

Since humble beginnings in 2017, the label has gone on to release tracks from some of our favourite artists in the scene, as well curating events with essential charities and initiatives such as UN Women's HeForShe campaign, and also Earth Day.

To mark this special occasion we’re back where it all started, raising money and awareness for mental health. October 10th marks World Mental Health Day and this year's theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is suicide prevention. To recognise and promote this occasion we’ve brought along another all-star cast to help us spread the message far and wide.

Needs 008 is a double vinyl compilation which features the talents of ​Shanti Celeste​, ​OCB​, ​Michelle​, ​Bobby.​, Peder Mannerfelt​, ​Yu Su​, ​Adam Pits​ and ​DJ Sports​.

Up-and-coming British label Semi Delicious, headed by London-based DJ Demi Riquísimo, returns with their sixth various artists compilation, SEMID006 “Better Days” EP. Across these four tracks, Demi and co. prove their knack for luscious 90’s-Acid-House-leaning club anthems.
	
Coming in hot on the opening to the B-side, London’s Baby Rollén delivers the subtly propulsive, dreamy, and sensuous, “Deep Asleep”. As the title suggests, the song retains an almost eternally nocturnal vibe, the perfect soundtrack for a sleepless club night. The track starts with a steady lurch, as rolling 808 drums and diced up breaks are infused with a repeating, seductive vocal sample, which in turn segues into a robust bass line and elastic, quivering acid line. Buoyed by soft, glowing synths, the track nonchalantly picks up in momentum several times in its span, maintaining a seemingly perpetual apex of Acid House glory. 

The logic of the song could be equated to a dream that emerges in and out of one’s consciousness, each time reemerging in a completely renewed light. The dream in question here, of course, is that sticky acid line, one that’ll be hard to get out of your head even on just one listen. Despite the repetitiveness, there is something meditative and transportive here.
