Nice one, Pete! I'll have to check that out. Worked in a studio? No, just using these (oversized) lugholes. I really care about this song so, 'that'll do' won't do, it had to be as near to perfect as I could get it!

Was messing around with arpegio's to start in some weird shape's in Dm7 & 9 and tryed a solo over it but it suked then moved onto some Jazz in Dm but my teacher had mentioned about playing outside the box with a exersize so it tryed it and ONE I was shocked it worked soo went back to my noodle's in the arpegio thing and didn't it work there too?? hahaha so ya get a little bit of both!! Don't expect it to go anywhere but some of you may get a kick out of it...all lead was either Em or Bm and just noodled it til it sounded ok!!!  That's all i can tell you or i will have to shoot you LOL :))) Hint for the day!!! :D

Hope this does'nt come across as male bovine excrement, but, I have been trying to get the mix right for a long time. It is quite a complex production, with competing EQ and crucial panning.

I did'nt want to lose the essence of this song as it's very dear to me, and I regard it as 'epic' (for me, anyhow)
I first wrote this (2009?) after a brisk walk along the coast of Pembrokeshire, by Newport Beach, a beautiful and ancient place, flanked by the Preseli Hills, (where the bluestone of Stonehenge originated) and the open sea, looking across to Ireland (on a clear day).
It was windy, but sunny and, with my family, we could taste the salty air and feel the fine sand burnishing our faces. It was a lovely day, in all respects.
Well, we came back home, our cheeks red and glowing, still with the taste of the sea and the sounds of that landscape, happy for a lovely brew of tea. 
I can't remember what instrument came first, but I wrote this song, that evening. Ideally, I would have wanted Robert Wyatt to do the vocals, but as he was'nt 'in da house', it had to be me.
